Great until you need them to be great.... My grandmother has lived here for about 2 years. About a week and a half ago she started running a fever. The staff confirmed SEVERAL illnesses sweeping through the community at present. We understand that can happen in a place with so many humans living and operating amongst each other. However, that should mean that the staff team is very aware of the additional care requirements for the sick. The night we were called about Gamma's illness, they told us she was running a fever of over 100 degrees. My mother suggested the hospital. The staff talked her out of it. My mother (the medical power of attorney) suggested the staff gives her Tylenol and ibuprofen alternatively every few hours until the fever was gone. The staff administered the first dose and advised they would pass on the information to the day shift. That was the ONLY dose given. About 16 hours later, my mother called back for an update, assuming no news until then was good news. False. My Gamma had been laying in bed with a 104 degree fever since the initial dose of Tylenol wore off. At this point, my mother DEMANDED the hospital. Again, the staff tried to talk her out of it. At this point, we would not be dissuaded. Now my Gamma is laying on death's door in the hospital. All of her own gans are failing and the doctors have confirmed that the toll of a fever for that long was too hard on her old body. They have also found that she is septic and has several other illnesses that can be confirmed to have come from poor care at The Springs. The Springs claim they are an "assisted living facility" and not at fault if our family member didn't get the care she needed- she should have asked for it. You're literally a dementia unit- there is no such thing as "assisted living" when they don't even know who they are anymore. How are they supposed to ask for help when they aren't lucid on a good day, much less when running a 104 degree fever? I doubt even *I* would be able to ask for what I needed under those circumstances and I'm young and able bodied. Save your money and send your loved one to an actual nursing home. At least when there's an emergency, the staff will give them care and not neglect them. This place is overpriced at best and deadly at worst.

It has taken me some time to write this, but I truly cannot say enough positive things about The Springs! My grandfather was here for a little over a year before he passed. Although it was a difficult time for our family, the staff always made us feel a little more like home. Honestly, it is hard to even consider them “staff” because they became more like friends/family to our family! The facility itself is absolutely wonderful. They go above and beyond to ensure that your loved ones are in a safe environment that is very much centered around those with memory care needs. However, it was the staff that truly made the biggest difference. My mom would jokingly (or possibly not so jokingly) say that she would still have chosen The Springs based on the staff, even if it was just “tents set up in the parking lot.” The staff, our new friends, made all the difference in the world! It is apparent from the time you walk into the door that the individuals who work here truly have a passion for what they do, and a big heart for not only those they care for, but for their families too. My family and I will forever be grateful for their love and support.

I would have no hesitation recommending The Springs. The caregivers and staff are very loving and supportive of both the family and their loved one. Having had four years to experience their care for my husband, I can say it was the best. The atmosphere is homelike, the rooms nicely appointed, the food excellent, and they endeavor to make the journey meaningful.

Words could never express the blessings we have received with mom as a resident of this amazing memory care center! The caring and compassionate staff, healthy meal plans, daily activities and the warm and inviting atmosphere provide the entire family with a peace of mind that far exceeded anything we had imagined. The Springs Memory Care Center is in one word....Home!
