The Solana Doylestown

My mother moved into the PC (personal care) area of Solana almost four years ago and never once have my siblings and I regretted this decision. At the time, my mother was 93 years old, incredibly independent and did not want to leave her home. She strongly pushed back about living in an assisted living facility but the lovely environment, activities and socialization and most importantly the personnel have made her time there truly wonderful. The aesthetics of Solana common areas are simply lovely and her two-room apartment was spacious and well maintained. But, the real reason that I wanted to leave this review is to share my thoughts about the personnel. The staff at Solana are hands-down incredible! This includes the management team, kitchen staff, med techs, activities coordinators and especially the aides. After two years in PC, our mother’s dementia became progressively worse and she moved into Memory Care for an extra level of support. We were all devastated to have her go into Memory Care but the Director, Alaina, did everything in her power to make the transition as easy as possible. Alaina is amazing with the residents, she is actively involved with everything from making sure they are not agitated, to helping with care to simply sitting with and talking to the residents every day. She is always available to assist the family, answer questions and provide special assistance. She is the heart of Memory Care and my family is so thankful that she is there. Steve handles many of the activities in PC and is someone who brings warmth and humor to every aspect of his job. He keeps the residents in laughter and they simply adore him. In Memory Care, we are fortunate to have Sierra as a Med Tech who is both professional and caring. She is respected by her staff, residents and family members such as ourselves. She is always available to answer our questions and provide support to our mother. And finally, there are so very many aides providing day to day care with professionalism and compassion. In MC, a newer aide (Obi) is absolutely wonderful with the residents. He brings professionalism and warmth in all of his interactions with our mother. He is one of the people that brings a smile to her every time she see him. In summary, we are so thankful to all of the staff at Solana. We have entrusted them with the care of our mother and they have never let us down.

The environment, level of attention, and structure provided her with comfort and a sense of security, and it was reassuring to see how well she adjusted. The location is excellent—conveniently situated in Doylestown while maintaining a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and meticulously maintained, creating an environment that feels dignified and comfortable. What truly distinguishes The Solana Doylestown is the staff. From assisted living through memory care, they treated my mother with kindness, patience, and respect. Their warmth and professionalism fostered a genuinely friendly, supportive community and gave our family great peace of mind. The continuity of care as my mother’s needs evolved was handled with sensitivity and skill. I would highly recommend The Solana Doylestown to anyone seeking a senior living community with excellent care, exceptional staff, and a beautiful, welcoming setting.
