Overview

Skilled and Intermediate Nursing Care
All residents are provided daily nursing services that are directed by physician’s orders and treatment plans.
Skilled nursing provides short-term care to residents focused on recovery and rehabilitation so they can return to their normal lives as quickly as possible. These services are often utilized during recuperation from serious health issues and are not able to be cared for at home.

Intermediate care is utilized for residents who do not require daily medical treatment but are unable to sufficiently care for themselves at home. This option provides light nursing care and assistance with daily activities. This is often the type of care that is pursued when looking for a balance of independence with an appropriate level of care, found in nursing homes.

Definitely a five plus on patient care , but physical environment and call light system needs improved by management!. As a nursing Professor Emeritus (35 year career , ADN and BSN programs), I tend to view health care with a critical eye. My sister was there for rehab following a hip fracture. I can’t say enough regarding the quality of care given to her. I was extremely impressed with quality of nursing staff, PT, social worker, and nursing assistants. Ancillary staff were very friendly and helpful in any way they could. Thanks to the staff for great care of my sister.

I was there for three weeks for rehab. There were three people that did their jobs. The names were Barbie, Shelby and the floor nurse. I work in healthcare and people there are so rude. I reported one for being so rude and mean and hateful. I never thought I would do that. But not one person staying in that place wants to be there. I will never go back there and I will never send anyone I care about or recommend it. Honestly the place should be closed down. The shower area, if you were lucky enough to get one is very dangerous I slipped on water, but thank God didn’t fall. One time I was going back to my room after the shower and water was running out into the hallway. I really feel sorry for anyone there. And their families need to keep their eye on them. Listen to their complaints.. I can pretty much guarantee that the complaints are the truth. Oh, and about the call button. You can wait up to 45 minutes to an hour for someone to show up. After I was able to get up, I would go and look for while pushing my walker. The place is really a joke.

2/2014: My 81 yr. old mother came here for physical therapy and rehab after a terrible illness. The building itself is not posh, but the loving care she's had from the staff more than makes up for it. If she ever needs full time the residential care I wouldn't hesitate for her to be here. Update 4/10/2014: Mom has returned to Sanctuary for rehab after another serious illness. They remembered her. She is getting the same personal attention and TLC she got before. They are so attentive to patients, even the difficult ones.

I have been in this facility visiting many people and loved ones… Staff was nice and professional. Facility was very clean, does not have a horrible smell like most facilities do… I would recommend this facility first before any other.
