Our family member was a resident at this facility for over 3 years, beginning in the assisted living area and ultimately moving to memory care(Reflections). The facility itself is beautiful and well maintained, but it is the staff that really shines. Moving a loved one into memory care is never easy, but the staff(notably Darlene and Leanne) helped make the transition as stress free as possible. Any time there was any issue(a fall or supplies needed), I received a phone call from the Residence. The aides are compassionate , caring and respectful. I felt very confident that our loved one was in good hands during her stay there. Thank you all for the care that you provided.

My parents both have dementia and needed a place to live after a traumatic incident. We toured The Residence at Vinnin Square and thought it looked really nice. After both my parents moved in, I felt like it was more of a business transaction rather than a comforting place for my parents. I felt like the staff did not have a good way of talking to my parents, especially my father who did not accept that this was his new home. All they wanted to do was keep medicating him to make him comply. The staff was NEVER on the same page in terms of their treatment and how their behavior was day to day. The communication with the director down to the office manager, maintenance, the memory unit director to the nurses was terrible! Every time a call or email was made, it was never returned in a timely manner. It normally took multiple attempts to reach someone to answer. It was very frustrating when trying to get in touch regarding my parents care and concerns. My parents only stayed at this facility for about 9 months, until we could move them to another facility. We didn’t realize how truly bad it was until we moved them to another memory facility that is the exact opposite of Residence at Vinnin Square. I would never ever recommend the Residence at Vinnin Square for anyone going into memory care!
