The facility is nice and so were the residents and the caregivers, but the management there, i'd say not so much. This one nurse in particular, Jessica, was/is not a nice person. She trained me for the very short time that I recently worked there, and while training, she did not have nice things to say about some of the staff there. Everyone I met in her office, she had something to say after they left. She's not a kind person. If these are the kind of people that facilities have in management positions, or positions at all, then that says a lot.

Shelburne Bay provided excellent care for my good friend with extensive care needs. The staff and management were caring and very attentive to his needs. I am grateful for the wonderful care they provided.

I moved to The Residence at Shelburne Bay March 2024. I had visited several independent residences in the area but kept coming back to the one at Shelburne Bay. The atmosphere at The Residence was appealing and positive. The staff are friendly, professional and welcoming. The residents were friendly as soon as you walked through the doors. You can be as involved as you choose each day. A list of activities is available daily. Because I did not know anyone at The Residence before moving in, I particularly appreciated the freedom to sit at any table in the dining room at every meal. It is a wonderful way to meet many of the wonderful and interesting people who live here. The grounds are beautiful, with many trees and a lovely walking path. It is a delightful place to stay young at heart while continuing to grow older! I am grateful every day to be here. Ellie Bushweller

We have been very pleased with the facility, food and support team at Shelburne Bay. They have worked extremely hard to ensure as smooth as possible transition into their independent living community for my mom, including a terrific ongoing calendar with many choices of activities. When we have had requests, the staff has found a path to yes! In addition, the residents have been open and engaging. We are very appreciative of the support, and would strongly encourage those looking for a clean, safe, comfortable Vermont-feel environment to explore the offerings at Shelburne Bay
