The Remington of Yardley

My mother moved into the Remington of Yardley a few months ago and, like many in her position, struggled initially with the transition and feeling isolated from her family, friends, and neighbors. The Life Enrichment team, led by Katie Morris, Coordinator has been an absolute saving grace. To ensure residents continue to stay active, engaged, and thriving, Katie and her team provide daily support through thoughtfully modified activities—from word and memory games to adapted sports like basketball, cornhole, and baseball. Everything is carefully tailored for seniors with physical or cognitive challenges, whether they use walkers or wheelchairs. Because of this, my mother continues to challenge her memory and stretch her physical limitations every single day. What truly sets Katie and her team apart is that they offer far more than just scheduled events; they bring compassion, empathy, humor, and genuine joy to every interaction. Their patience and understanding have meant the world to me as a daughter and sister navigating this journey. Their philosophy is clear: everyone is involved, everyone’s voice matters, everyone plays, and everyone is a winner. Katie’s leadership shines in every setting. During a recent visit, I attended a resident community meeting led by the Life Enrichment team. Katie hosted the session with authenticity, positivity, and confidence, giving residents a safe platform to share what is working and what isn't, ensuring every concern was heard and addressed. She wears many hats, stepping in with unwavering confidence even when residents are struggling to find their own. That same deep support extends directly to the families. I am deeply grateful to Katie, Valerie, Marie, and the caregivers who consistently lend a hand, offer a warm smile, answer repeated questions with patience, and restore hope. Thank you all for demonstrating what love and dedication look like every single day.

I have been in the Senior Living space for almost 23 years. I am always so thrilled to share this community with my clients. I feel they truly understand the red carpet treatment! We always feel like a VIP! From the moment we are greeted at the door by Victoria and offered some fruit infused water to the smiles we get from Donna and Dave! They are interested in the families as much as the potential resident! They ask thoughtful questions and genuinely care! Meeting with Katie and Marie in programs is always a delight! They engage residents with their interests and you can see just from the participants that they have a huge following! Brittany the Executive Director is always resident focused and truly cares! On my last tour Dave was dancing with my client and Matt who is an incredibly talented chef is also a jewel in the Remington crown! It is like a castle so it’s only fitting! See you soon!

The .mothers day dining was unbelievable. The steak was an unexpected surprise and I am not a fish eater but I took a chance on the stuffed flounder. It was great. If father's day is not as spectacular I will not be able happy camper. All in all I think the food has greatly improved since our hef Wes arrived. We have a new dining team and things are looking up.

I agree with David and Nicole. I would love to get my mom out of there but its hard to move someone after they have settled. New management destroyed Heartis and made it Remington. The food concerns are so real. Nothing fresh-no accomodations for any special diets. Staff revealed that the food budget per day reduced from $9-$7.50 per resident. The price went up 17% this year. The new ED when I discussed concerned was bored and uncaring. yes the facility is nice looking and the apartment sizes are good. But food is central to a seniors well being and the lack of interest in improving it along with chronic staff shortages to the point of my mother not getting proper meds because no one was on duty is negligent. I have tried many times to talk to Legends Staff. the first time I was told they agreed food was terrible. They then cut the budget and it got worse. There are a few great staff members for whom I am grateful.
