In my opinion The Plaza Senior Living in Wildwood does not deserve one star. Gathered all the needed paperwork to receive respite care for an elderly relative This took a great deal of time. We were initially informed what paper work was needed. After arrival I was then told that the relative would not be allowed to visit (he is black) even before reviewing the paperwork. I was still told to wait anyway as the paperwork was reviewed. I was told again that the relative was not allowed to stay for the week because he had not seen a doctor within a month and that this was a Law (A lie). This is what I found :(No, Missouri law does not require older adults to see a doctor within a month to receive respite care in a senior living apartment.) What makes it so bad the relative had just visited the doctor November 14th, 2024 and the day we arrived was December 23, 2024! I was also told I did not have all the papers for Power of Attorney but I had the first page that indicated everything that was required. I could have brought or faxed the remaining papers if they needed them. Stay away, deceitful and will tell you lies. Oh and they lied once again by their reply. The Regional Director of Operations NEVER did contact me. Proves again these people are deceitful.

Update: My MIL moved out in May 2024 because she needed a higher level of care than Assisted Living. Sadly, the change in ownership to The Plaza was not good for the community. Many of the people who made Anthology the great community that it was -- from the front office to the medical team and everything in between -- were no longer working there by the time my MIL moved on or left soon after, which is sad because the service we experienced at move-in was exceptional. The legacy staff did their best, but the changes were too drastic and too fast, and unfortunately the care and service suffered as a result. What a shame that a new company negatively changed what was a gem amongst senior housing. My MIL would have had to move on anyway due to her condition, but even without that, we probably would have had to look for something else before the end of summer. _________We moved my mother-in-law into Anthology at the end of July 2023, and we have been nothing short of amazed at how well she has settled in and how attentive the entire staff has been to her unique needs. Some new health issues required us to quickly change her original plan for senior living, and we will be forever grateful to the staff at Anthology for working with our family as we pivoted to find assisted living vs. independent living, with not a moment to spare. From our first screening tour through move in and, this morning, our one-month family meeting, every interaction with the staff has been professional, detail-oriented, personalized, warm, caring and FUN. We toured several facilities during our search, and Anthology came out on top for quality of care, excellent dining services, condition and appearance of the facility and breadth of activities for residents. Thank you, Anthology, for making my MIL and our family feel like part of your family.

Asheley has made the sales and move-in process as easy and seamless as possible. My mother is already making new friends and adjusting to her new life. Thanks Asheley!

Any good review before the buyout in early 2024 is moot. Way understaffed full of untrained interns. Won’t give your loved ones their medications on time but will lie and say they did. Every mistake is someone else’s problem. 0 stars
