At 77… I’m one of the fairly younger residents. However, the activities, the assistance services, the food, the great plaza and rooms for events are amazing. Very up to date decor. Best part is the staffing of talented and dedicated employees. I’m in a wheelchair but training with PT toward walking. I’m glad to be part of the community at the Oaks. This is my younger sis in my apartment playing Hawaiian music. I lived in Hawaii 12 years, aloha.

Debra was a delightful tour guide. It was obvious that she was very popular with the residents. Each resident I talked to said that I would love it there. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the garden outside the dining room is gorgeous. A fountain and tables with umbrellas where you could eat outside. There is another area they call the dog park I think. Nice with trees and paved pathways. The Oaks at Nipomo seems quite homey and relaxed.

The staff make the Oaks! Thank you Amy & Heidi at the front desk for always making the effort to let me know how mom is doing when I'd come thru the front door. Eunice, Nissy, Jose, Dana, Alicia, Samira, Nita, and all the other compassionate care staff, thank you for your humor with mom, as she progressed in her dementia. Not an easy thing to do. And Ron and Deborah and Cristal, appreciate your guidance throughout this process. If she had stayed independent, she would still be with you!

Recently, I visited The Oaks to see if the facility would be a good living option for my mother. I was assigned to Debbie Benitez to show me the facility and provide information on how transitioning my mother to a care home would work. Once inside The Oaks, I was very impressed with the entryway, the dining area, the living rooms, the theater, and most of all the private rooms. The facility is beautiful. Every person I met from those that work in the facility to the residents were wonderful and happy to be there. Quite remarkable. I will soon be back there with my mother to have lunch and talk again with Debbie about transitioning my mother from my home to The Oaks. A wonderful experience!
