My Dad moved into The Oaks at Inglewood almost 4 years ago. While he was quite reluctant about moving in because he did not want to leave his home. Over time he has grown to enjoy his life at The Oaks because all of his needs are met, and is happy with the care he receives. The staff normally responds to any requests he may have in a timely manner which I consider very important. The staff and residents are also very welcoming and make him feel safe and secure. Additionally, I appreciate the clean environment and the beautiful secure grounds the residents can enjoy anytime. The calendar of daily activities are great for residents who enjoy socializing with others. I would highly recommend The Oaks at Inglewood if you are looking for a safe, secure, clean environment for your loved one.

My husband has been very happy at The Oaks at Inglewood since moving in 3 months ago. He loves the staff and has made some friends there.(I was worried about that). He enjoys the food and feels like the dining room workers are his friends. If he misses breakfast (He likes to sleep in) they will always fix him something that he enjoys. His diabetes is well controlled. He participates in some of the activities and is able to use his electric scooter there as he can't walk. I love the fact that I can spend the night with him occasionally. I definitely recommend The Oaks at Inglewood.

This is such a wonderful place. It has a great feel when you walk in the door. People seem very happy, there is lots of laughter and the staff is very friendly. One thing I took note of that I thought was very special is how all the staff knows their residents by name and they address them in passing. It is apparent that the staff loves what they do.

My mom decided on The Oaks. The staff is precious to her. She loves them all and they provide her with wonderful care. There are two issues that she is not happy about. The Oaks is very understaffed in both the care area and the dining facility. My mom requires very little care but when she is scheduled for a shower twice a week, getting one at 9 pm at night is unacceptable. Due to the understaffing on what appears to be the extensive care of memory residents (this is not a memory care facility) seems to be utilizing the time of the caregivers and the care of the other residents. The dining room is a whole different issue. The food is horrific. On top of the price they charge for meals, we now grocery shop so she has food in her apartment because so much of the food is awful (overcooked, cold, not what they say it is and no flavor). I have been to the nutrition meetings with her and everything goes in one ear and out the other. There has been no change. Aside from the fact that she loves the staff, we are looking into other options. This is not how our elderly should be treated.
