My dad’s experience at Modena in Kensington has been fabulous! The location can’t be beat – near to us, shopping, historic Kensington, and a café in the bottom level. The building is lovely, with many amenities on-site, including a very good restaurant, in-house physical therapy, a hair salon, beautiful common areas, and a lovely outdoor space. But what makes Modena truly exceptional is the people who work there. Their warmth and friendliness make Modena a real community, where my dad feels right at home. We are so happy to be part of the Modena community!

After our mom passed away a few years ago, our dad moved to Modena Kensington in mid-2024. He (and we, his adult children) are very happy with his apartment and the overall facility, which is pleasant, attractive and very professionally run. The staff -- including facility administration, front desk, food and hospitality, medical assistance and even room cleaning -- are helpful and friendly. The food is so good that our dad has taken to sending us photos of particularly good meals, along with his effusive comments (who knew he would end up as a food blogger!). Having in-house PT has been very helpful in maintaining our dad's mobility, and on-call medical care was a godsend when our dad had a medical emergency. Our dad regularly attends presentations by other residents, many of whom have had very interesting life experiences that they share. And of course, he enjoys the weekly happy hours, which we have joined him for when we can. All in all, our whole family -- and especially our dad -- agrees that the move to Modena Kensington was one of the best decisions he/we made.

Modena Reserve in Kensington is a vibrant, caring, and beautiful senior community! The staff here are truly exceptional, always willing to help with any request or concern and dedicated to making every resident’s experience positive. I work with many senior communities, but Modena Reserve is my favorite. The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and full of life. Their programs are high-quality, educational, and fun, and the food is 5-star restaurant quality! The open kitchen adds such a unique and enjoyable touch—I’ve never had a bad meal here! Elena Price, the Executive Director, and her team show real compassion and commitment to their residents. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted like an old friend and leave with a smile. Modena Reserve truly feels like home.

My husband and I moved into Modena about 10 months ago. We have been very pleased with the service and accommodations. They have a caring and friendly staff who know the residents by name and interact with them daily. Residents were very welcoming. The dining area is open and bright, and the food is excellent. Three meals a day are provided. Every day the residents are provided with a choice of activities. We have no regrets about our decision to move here.
