The Lodge at Wake Forest Gracious Retirement Living

I had such a wonderful afternoon at The Lodge at Wake Forest celebrating National Hamburger Day. The lunch was delicious, and Leslie, their exceptional Community Sales Director, made the tour truly outstanding. Her warmth, professionalism, and depth of knowledge brought the community to life in a way that left a lasting impression. The model is spacious and beautifully designed, with so much included, and the balcony offered a view I could easily imagine my parents enjoying every day. The amenities—fitness center, theater, chapel, activities areas, and gorgeous courtyards—make this community feel like home in every sense. The food was incredible (I’m still thinking about that coconut pie!), and the pricing was extremely reasonable. What stood out most was the spirit of the team. The staff radiates kindness, professionalism, and a genuine passion for serving seniors. Having worked in senior living for over 15 years, I can confidently say that The Lodge at Wake Forest—and Leslie’s excellent guidance—earn my highest recommendation.

We love being close to our daughter here in Wake Forest. I love not having to cook even though the meals are not always what I would choose. The apartment is roomy and bright and well kept. Many activities to keep you busy if you choose.

My Mom lived here, at The Lodge at Wake Forest, for the final year of her life, and she was so happy to reside here. Having her own PRIVATE ADA-outfitted apartment, with living area, kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom and patio, overlooking a beautiful, quiet courtyard, afforded my Mom comfort and security, but also provided a place to mingle with other seniors of her generation. We never worried about her being alone, or without access to nutritious meals, or feeling as though we had “warehoused” her. I cannot speak highly enough of the facility (clean, bright, well maintained), the food (breakfast, lunch, supper seven days/week, plus snacks any time), the convivial, relaxed atmosphere (group activities rooms, game and library area, exercise equipment, and numerous well-run FUN activities tailored to the season and holidays, and more), and, most prominently, the Staff. The Lodge Staff is absolutely superb—attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and they treat ALL residents with dignity and affectionate caring. It’s the Staff that make The Lodge a wonderful facility! Whether management, food service, housekeeping, facilities maintenance, whatever—they are stellar! If you, or a loved one, find living alone a challenge, then The Lodge is a facility you should definitely give a look-see. Our family definitely made the right choice, and my Mom would enthusiastically agree.

My dad has been at the Lodge almost 1 year and it has been a very positive experience. I am so thankful we found The Lodge!
