Collectively, our Management Team along with the Sisters, have worked at St. Joseph's-The Legacy for over 200 years! We really care about you and your loved one!
We have the ability to care for Residents as they age and their care and medical needs increase, allowing them to stay in our Home.
HISTORY
In 1917, Mother Maria Tauscher, Foundress of the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus purchased a 13 acre piece of farmland, which then became St. Joseph's Home.
A new chapter begins....In 2019, St. Joseph's Home transitioned from a Skilled Nursing Facility to a Community Based Residential Facility (Assisted Living), now known as The Legacy at St. Joseph's.
The Carmelite Sister's mission at The Legacy is to continue to offer an enriched lifestyle to seniors by providing 5 star quality care for those whose lives are entrusted to us.
The Villa at St. Joseph's, located on our campus offers Independent Living Apartments for seniors and the disabled. The Villa is operated by Sister Anne Marie, Assistant Provincial of the Carmelite Sisters. She can be reached at 262-960-8855 for more information.

Pricing
Starting Price $5,000
The base rate for a room (shared room with a shared bathroom) at The Legacy at St. Joseph's is $5,000 per month. Room upgrades are available for an additional fee which offer private rooms, private bathrooms and two-room suites, for an additional fee. Great facility! Hardworking staff and a diligent administration. The cleaning crew is top notch. You could eat off the floors in this facility! Activity Department provides fun and engaging activities seven days a week. Nursing staff is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. They address all concerns immediately and provide excellent follow up.

My mother was in there for a couple of weeks for extensive arm surgery . A month after the bill came out ($2000 of what insurance didn't pay) She was harassed with phone calls (she made payment arrangements immediately) and threatened a lean on her house. The is current with her payments but they put a lean on her house anyways.

The staff at The Legacy are top notch. You won't find another assisted living facility in the area that can provide the level of care that The Legacy can!!

Nice peaceful place for elders. Staff was very friendly when we asked for help to fine family member.
