The staff and the caring at Legacy is outstanding. I am a Hospice nurse and I love and appreciate the communication between me and the staff. My goal is to provide care and comfort and the staff at the Legacy are right in step with me. The facility is gorgeous and always clean. Staff members such as Toni (DON), Theresa (ADON) Lisa, Kelsey, Eve, and Julie are all med techs and so proficient in their jobs, my job would be impossible without their assistance. The facility caregivers, too numerous to name, are fantastic. Thanks ya"ll for helping me take good care of my patients, they are in a wonderful place.

The Legacy at Highwoods Preserve is a nice assisted living facility. The commons areas are well-appointed, and you always see residents in those areas. They can sit out front under a canopy. I wish they had a garden area. The outdoor has many palm trees and some other pretty landscaping. The care is good for the most part. They are short-handed at times, and I have an issue with my mother's haircare and grooming. She can't do her own hair, and only gets showered twice a week. Her hair is always an issue, and not sure about oral care. The food is okay, but my sister brings her cooked food every week and takes her out at least once a week to eat. Mom misses being able to cook for herself. This past week or so, Mom had ants in her room, and they were crawling on her from her chair. I was aghast when I heard that. They came in and sprayed, and I haven't heard her complain any more about them. Legacy decorates nicely for holidays and special days. They do a very nice Christmas dinner for guests and family. There is a monthly schedule of activities for those that wish to participate. The activities director takes groups out to eat. They have in-house movies.

Fully recommend bringing your parents here! I have peace of mind knowing my mom is taken care of by this crew. Directors are always available for concerns or conversation with a smile on their face. The caregivers and additional staff are very kind and truly care. Breathe of fresh air.

When I bring up a concern or suggestion, it is immediately addressed with professionalism and urgency. They tell it like it is, ensuring that families are informed and confident in their loved one’s care. While Legacy’s pricing is competitively reasonable, their performance is light-years ahead of any other facility in the area. The level of respect, attentiveness, and quality of life they provide is truly 1000% better than what we previously experienced at Blue Heron Senior Living.
