This industrious group sought to develop a community that takes the assisted living model of care to a higher level in an environment of comfortable elegance, staffed by loving professionals. The Kensington is designed to be home for seniors who are looking for assisted living and memory care services. We believe the comfort of familiarity is precious, so our enhanced program enables us to offer care beyond what the traditional assisted living community can deliver. Our father has been with the Kensington for four years and it had been a special experience. It is a lovely facility convenient to where he lived many years, and the familiarly has been powerful. As with any assisted living, there is a mix of capability among the guests and throughout Kensington has been attentive as his memory declines to meet him with people at his level, get to PT regularly and engage him with activities that he enjoys and keeps him alert. There is a deep kindness to the place in near every encounter from the very top, and the wonderful staff. They not only know dad, but “see” him on his terms - ensuring efforts and programs to his particular interests. He is greeted by name and warmly throughout. This experience is a team experience and my sister and I are captains of team dad and Kensington is utterly on his and our side - communicative, open, candid and respectful and encouraging - but ensure also that we hear the realities that sometimes it is hard for families to hear. Always with courtesy and kindness and, again, in the interests of dad.

I can't say enough good things about my father's 18 month residence at The Kensington. The staff was lovely and responsive to us and he was comfortable and well cared for, which brought such comfort to my family. Their affection for him was obvious and having onsite medical care and management of his medical schedling and transportation, when needed, made a difficult situation infinitely more manageable.

My father received superb care at The Kensington. He was in the memory care unit called Connections. The entire staff is impressive. Everyone is caring and skilled. Most importantly, the staff all take accountability for handling any issues that arise. I had piece of mind and would recommend The Kensington highly.

Kensington sponsors my son's little league team here in White Plains and arranged a special visit for his whole team to the facility. It was so special for the kids to meet the residents and hear about how they're rooting for the team and wanted to hear updates. Our team name is the Mets so the only rub was that there were a lot of Yankees fans but they all managed to get along ;-) Grateful to have such a wonderful sponsor with such commitment to the team & community.
