Our community is the realization of a vision of passionate leaders in the senior living industry. This industrious group sought to develop a community that takes the assisted living model of care to a higher level in an environment of comfortable elegance, staffed by loving professionals. They have accomplished just that.
The Kensington is designed to be home for seniors who are looking for assisted living and memory care services. We believe the comfort of familiarity is precious, so our enhanced program enables us to offer care beyond what the traditional assisted living community can deliver. We offer a full spectrum of clinical support, including 24/7 licensed nurses on-site and end-of-life care, and no resident needs to move out if assisted living health care needs change or increase. The Kensington is a beautiful facility. Very warm and inviting as well as comforting. The staff is loving, caring, respectful, treating the residents with dignity and honor as a "family member." My husband was always ready for the day in the morning. Appreciated the resident's inclusion in activities and field trips. His room was attended to on a daily basis. Staff was also very attentive to me as well as other family members and visitors. I appreciated that the staff made adjustments to the care plan as necessary to accomodate changing needs, informing me of their thinking and reasoning for his best interest. I greatly appreciated the support we all received as we navigated this time of our lives. While The Kensington is considered expensive relative to other options, I felt like the service we received for him was the best possible option. I am very grateful for The Kensington and all they have to offer as a senior assisted living facility.

My parents have lived at The Kensington in Sierra Madre for 2 years now. It’s such a lovely home for them. While they miss their house in Pasadena, they have enjoyed the excellent care and the efforts to make them feel at home. They were even able to bring their 2 cats! They have wonderful opportunities to go out into the community, lots of great activities to take part in on site, and live music before dinner every night. The whole place feels alive and connected. They decorate the whole facility to honor the seasons and are very welcoming to visitors. Our family enjoys our weekly visits and feel very confident that they are well and thriving. Their main care partner, Martha Reyes, is fantastic! My dad loves and respects her so much. He says she’s absolutely wonderful and takes such good care of them! She’s hard working, efficient, and has a great sense of humor. She trains new care partners and is perfect for the job. She is respectful to all the residents and her co-workers. The Kensington is lucky to have her! Thank you to all the staff for helping our parents age with dignity and providing such joyful care. We are truly blessed to have found a new home for them!

My father has resided at The Kensington Sierra Madre for years now, so this review is long overdue. Aside from the well kept facilities, and the great cooking & service, it is truly the frontline staff that have made us feel welcome day in and day out. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by one of the concierges who seems to know exactly what residents and families need before they even ask. Lead concierge, Cynthia Sterling, in particular, is always aware of all the details that matter: daily logistics, planning for expected visitors and special events, or simply offering a warm smile and good conversation on a difficult day. We're also especially grateful for Connections caregiver, Martha Reyes, who has become a trusted ally and developed a wonderful bond with my father. She, along with the rest of the caregiving staff, truly look out for his best interest, happiness, and wellbeing. It’s clear that she’s a professional, but also that she doesn't just see this as a job. She genuinely cares about making lives brighter. We are very fortunate that much of the staff at The Kensington demonstrates this same level of dedication and compassion. So please consider this review a heartfelt thank you to the team.
