We moved my grandma into the Kensington recently and it was a wonderful experience! Anyone that has had to make the decision to have a loved one move into a care facility knows how stressful it can be to find a good place that will give exceptional care, and treat them with the respect and support they need to make such a big transition happen in their life, and the Kensington has done just that! Her first day arriving they had a cute welcome basket put together with her favorite snacks and drinks which was very thoughtful of them. Not only was the facility clean and the staff very welcoming, but my grandma has settled right in and we are very happy with the care she’s receiving. There’s many activities for her to do both in and outside of the facility with them providing trips to different stores and restaurants. I would highly recommend the Kensington to anyone that is looking for a great place that will provide the support their loved one needs!

We recently toured this community for our dad and were very impressed. The environment was clean, welcoming, and felt like home. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions. It truly feels like a place where residents are cared for with compassion and respect. We can’t wait to have dad be apart of the Kensington community.

My wife(Melanie) and I recently moved my mother in law into the Kensington, we found this facility(compared to others in town) to be very homey, lots of activities for mom to participate in, the staff is very friendly, and helpful with anything she might need, this has made her transition from her home to what we feel is her new home so much easier. We were very impressed with this facilty considering the age of the building, to very clean and feels a lot like one big home and not just a facility, they made the move in very easy for us and made us feel very comfortable leaving her here, she is absolutly in love with the food and unlike before she moved in, no longer even wants to go eat out, and best of all she is very happy here.

This place is soooooo old and gross!! Our family toured 5 different assisted livings in the area. 3 in Ft. Madison. This place was so out dated, just dirty and gross. When we walked in, it was dead quiet. No one around. We walked around for 20 min before ever seeing an employee. They must need patients because they kept offering us discounts and waiving prices. You couldn’t pay us to bring grandma here. Gross place and cheap care NO WAY!
