At The Kensington, our Promise to love and care for your family as we do our own is at the heart of what we do. Our community is an assisted living and memory care residence open to Northern Virginia in the heart of beautiful Falls Church. It is the realization of a vision of passionate leaders in the senior living industry. This industrious group sought to develop a community that takes the assisted living model of care to a higher level in an environment of comfortable elegance, staffed by loving professionals. They have accomplished just that.
We believe the comfort of familiarity is precious, so our enhanced program enables us to offer care beyond what the traditional assisted living community can deliver. We offer a full spectrum of clinical support, including end-of-life care, licensed nurses onsite 24/7, and no resident needs to move out if health care needs change or increase. We offer life enrichment activities 7 days a week with dedicated life enrichment professionals, along with restaurant style dining where our dining rooms are open 12 hours a day so residents can sit down for a meal whenever they'd like. My Mom has been at the Kensington Since March 2024. We have been very pleased at the care she is receiving in the assisted living section. The caregivers are fantastic and the management works with you on any issues that arise. The bright spot this year was the Kensington Club coming online. My mom had started to spend more time alone and the K Club really brought her back out of her shell. For a challenging time in life, I am so glad we found the Kensington Falls Church!!

The team at the Kensington Falls Church is uniquely excellent. My parents have been residents since last April and their quality of life has substantially improved. The visits and time together with our parents are now focused on enjoying our time together with them rather than worrying about care regimes and administering medication. Shelly, Lovy and the entire care team (day and night shift) are focused, caring and pragmatic when interacting with my parents. The entire Kensington team is outstanding and my vocabulary doesn't have suitable words to express my thanks.

Kensington Falls Church is like being with family. They get to know each resident and what they like or don’t like, similar to family. There is a daily schedule of activities that is carefully thought out and followed. They meet each resident at their individual stage of aging and memory care. I love seeing the Activities Director, Reggie, and the Assistant Activities Director leading activities and interacting with each resident at their personal level. There is honestly, truly something for every individual resident to do as much or as little as desired. It amazes me! There are activities with exercise and movement, arts and crafts, nature and plants, baking, trivia, sensory, outings, movies, and so much more. The food is wonderful and family is welcome anytime. The more time I and other family members spend visiting with Mom, the more weI get to know the employees and see how they interact with our Mom and how they treat her with love, respect, and kindness. The way you want your loved one to be cared for and loved like family. I’d like to call Kensington Falls Church home one day.

My mom has been at the Kensington Falls Church since September 2025. The staff are very kind — including the care team, dining room servers, etc. The daily musical entertainment is a lot of fun and there is a good variety of other activities as well. Most of all, I appreciate the nursing staff. Mom is complicated medically with diabetes and other chronic conditions. They are handling her medicines, coordinating lab work and appointments (including transportation and escort) with the specialists she sees. It is quite a relief to have so much of this taken off my plate.
