The most elegant, beautiful and friendly place I’ve ever seen (and I’ve been to many assisted living places where my other relatives have lived.) The staff is so personable, all eager to accommodate anything you ask with a warm smile and such genuine kindness. I’m so happy my brother moved here, he is completely taken care of and is stronger and more vibrant since he moved in several weeks ago.

Within a week of contacting Kensington Bethesda, our mother had transitioned from a rehab facility to her new home in Connections—brought there by a driver and the head nurse personally. That level of compassion and coordination gave us immediate confidence in what had been, until then, an overwhelming and emotional journey. My sister and I recently moved our mother into Connections at the Kensington Bethesda after a long struggle with the decision. Like many families, we wanted to respect her wishes to stay in her home, even as her needs evolved. Unfortunately, a hospitalization in early December forced us into a crisis situation. By Christmas, she was in rehab, and we knew she could not safely return to her home—but we had no clear path forward. A trusted advisor recommended Kensington Bethesda, and we took a leap of faith. In just a few weeks, we have seen a remarkable transformation. She feels safe. She is engaged. She talks about the food, the activities, and the new friends she has made. Most importantly, she feels cared for—physically, mentally, and emotionally. As daughters, the peace of mind we now have is immeasurable. The team in Connections has kept us updated on all aspects of her wellbeing and even takes the time to send photos of her having fun! They have also made it clear that they have assumed the primary responsibility for her ongoing needs, and we can return to being her daughters. The Kensington's promise is to "love and care for your family as we do our own." They have demonstrated that they are a care-focused team, but have also shown that they fully intend to deliver on the love.
