The Ivy Wellington is just lovely! They have an expert staff, the style and design are impressive, residents have a myriad of choices of service, and seems very happy every time I visit to do a notarization..

The food is usually pretty good, but they seem to run out of desserts most nights. The chef needs to plan ahead so that the residents can have a dessert if they choose.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. When I moved my mother to the Wellington, we had such high hopes. The Director seemed to know everyone and was very pleasant and accommodating. There were lots of activities and my mother was very happy there, for a short time. I noticed one of the reviewers stated they needed security cameras, which they had when my mother moved in. However, no one there seemed to know how to access them or use them. All of a sudden there was a change in the management. Some new control freak came on board, and some of the wonderful staff we had come to know and trust, disappeared. The security cameras only worked if the control freak that wanted to keep someone out took a look. If one of the residents left, they had no idea how to access them (conveniently). Emails were constantly ignored, and excused made constantly. We paid extra to have medications given to my mother, and they tried to force us to use their 'own' pharmacist. When we moved my mother from this place there was medication that they had not given to ,mother and the bottle was never opened. I would no longer recommend this place. If management changes, possibly it could be better. I wouldnt trust them

My relative has been living at the Wellington for quite some time and applauds the food, activities offered, transportation services and congeniality of most of the employees. However, for the past 4 years, someone has been entering her unit and taking various, sometimes trivial items, including food. She has filed a police report but felt they didn't believe her. Wellington management will not respond to her complaints and is now avoiding her. She is old but her mind is sharp. This building should have security cameras in the hallways, they do not.
