⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t say enough wonderful things about The Highlands in Topsham, Maine. From the moment I stepped onto the property, I was struck by its beauty—immaculate grounds, peaceful walking paths, and charming architecture that truly feels like home. What impressed me most, though, was the exceptional level of care my loved one is receiving. Every member of the staff is warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. They treat residents with compassion, respect, and genuine kindness. It gives me tremendous peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. The facilities are spotless, thoughtfully designed, and filled with natural light. Every detail—from the cozy common areas to the organized activities—reflects how much this community values quality of life. The Highlands has exceeded every expectation. Highly, highly recommend!

I was told she could move in memory care but then had to be tested, then the test date was changed and then they couldn't take her said she doesn't take her medication. That was a lie. They said I even said that and I did not. She took her medication. They said they were particular in choosing their residents. Isn't a person upset when they move from a big beautiful house into a cracker box?, somewhere else? I think that they only wanted quiet people who didn't talk, walk or need help in anyway. It is expected to be upset until you get use to new surroundings. I didn't get a good feel about Amy, the intake person. She wasn't reassuring or friendly nor did she return my messsges. I wouldn't recommend The Highlands to anyone. They were not nice.

We bought one of the cottages last spring and have been living here now for 7 months. We love it here. We live on a dead-end street and have the most wonderful neighbors. We really enjoy living all on one floor with an attached, heated garage. And we are delighted that all the yard work gets done professionally and we get our house cleaned every two weeks. It makes life so easy! Our house looks over a wooded ravine which gives us a lot of privacy, we have wonderful walking trails nearby. We also love the programs and activities here such as the chorale singing group, the fitness center, the movie theater, and the many live music programs available. There is always something to do if you are so inclined, or you can just enjoy the peace and quiet of your own home and neighborhood.
