Mom has been a Ganzhorn resident in Avon since January of 2022. Her anxiety levels have decreased dramatically and she is functioning at a very high level. I sleep well knowing Mom is safe, secure, gets her meds on time, and receives quality nutrition. Residents have quite a lot of social interaction. I am quite pleased with the management team, the front office staff, the nursing team , the enrichment team, and of course the aids. I highly recommend Ganzhorn to anyone whose loved one needs specialized memory care.

A change of scenery turned out to be a life-changing move for my mom, Shirley Sprague. In December, 2021, my brothers and I moved her to Ganzhorn Suites Specialized Memory Care in Avon. After an adjustment period my mom greatly improved. Her personal hygiene improved, as did her dignity. Personalized attention, caring staff, tasty food, brighter atmosphere, attention to detail and clear communication were the many qualities mom enjoyed there. Mom's attitude, her appetite, her sense of humor, her congeniality and her smile came back! After the move to Ganzhorn, hospice care continued for several weeks until the hospice nurse said mom was doing so well she no longer qualified for it. That was great news! My mom passed away in October, 2022, but Ganzhorn Suites made a big difference in my mom's life.

I would not recommend this facility. My mother's needs were not met by staff. She was severely dehydrated and her other medical needs were not tended to properly. Her belongings were stolen by other residents. When a search was made, the things were continually found in other residents' rooms. Some things were never found. Her glasses were even being worn by another patient. The staff said there was nothing they could do as the rooms have to remain unlocked.
