The Delaney at Georgetown Village

I hope my review helps guide you in finding the very best memory care / senior living home for your loved one. After 2 long weeks of touring multiple memory care locations in the Georgetown and the surrounding area, we chose the Delaney and here’s why. First, my high school classmate from 1987 actually worked for The Delaney for 8 years so I had some good inside information as to why it’s ranked as the best facility in the area. She ended up putting own her mom there so that in itself gave me even more confidence in what can be one of the hardest decisions you will make in your life. Our parents raised us and took care of us the best they could so now it was my time to give back and find my mom the best place to now call home. It is a very clean place and homey environment atmosphere. So the results are in; after 2 months and 14 days. I absolutely made the right decision for my mom. Shannan the memory care director has a wonderful dedicated loving team who will be completely focused and care for your loved one in every way possible. Shannan is just one call away from allowing me to check on my mom when I’m out of town. She’s has even taken my calls on her day off. This is an example of the high level of service and response the Delaney gives their residents and the families. They make her bed everyday, they help her shower, they help her in the bathroom and even the cleaning staff (Tiffany) who keeps the place extremely clean loves and cares for my mom. They have med techs whose sole purpose is to administer medications on time, every time. They have nurses on site 24 hours a day and I’m one text away from requesting anything my mom may need or want. They are also a class B facility which is very important to know. Just so many care givers dedicated to your loved ones needs. It’s always enjoyable to visit my mom and take her to lunch or dinner in the many dining rooms they have. The food is amazing and they have 2 executive chef’s preparing some really great dishes. I would also point out that I have met the director of maintenance which is responsible for keeping the place so clean and everything working and they do a fine job. They even have a wonderful activity director coordinating environment and fun for the residents. Go visit the Delaney and ask to meet the directors and you will understand how they have earned my perfect review. Remember, you are doing what you have to do in a tough situation and knowing your loved one is safe and cared for so well will bring you comfort and peace of mind. Well, where do I start about the Delaney? Mom didn't begin her independent living journey at the Delaney, but I sure wish she had. She absolutely loves it there. The activities are amazing and the staff is very welcoming and loving. Mom says living at the Delaney is living being on a cruise but without the water. If you have a loved one that needs more attention than they can get living at home, consider the Delaney. Mom spent many years as an activities director, in management staff, and consultant for facilities like this. She did her homework before we moved her to the Delaney. If you are considering an independent or assisted living home for a loved one, please visit the Delaney. While you are there, ask for Geri, she will tell you how things are there. The Delaney at Georgetown Independent Living is amazing! Beautiful building and grounds, delicious food, great activities, and welcoming residents! We can’t say enough nice things about the team. Jen, Mary Faith, and Liz are so warm, kind, and beyond helpful. There’s simply not a better place for your parents.

My husband has been a resident at The Delaney at Georgetown Village, Georgetown Texas for two and a half years. When the time came to find an Assisted Living facility that would meet my husband’s every need; from the friendly concierge’s, the executive staff, the nursing care, the server’s in the dining room, the activity directors, to the caregivers, this is the place that provides all those needs. When you walk in the doors of this immaculately clean facility you feel the love and caring attitude from everyone, even the residents. They truly are the reflection of The Delaney. No wander my husband calls this facility ‘home’. That is the true word that describes The Delaney at Georgetown. I highly recommend The Delaney at Georgetown if anyone is looking for a place for their loved ones. It will be a decision you will not regret.
