Visited on February 13, 2026. The second floor stinks like the lion house at Brookfield Zoo! Until very recently it was at least clean. But on this visit the smell was gagging. There is no excuse for this and it is a health hazard for staff and patients alike. Until this visit I would have had no problem reccomending this facility. Now I never wouild.

I had lunch with my friend today. The food left a lot to be desired. Everything was cold when it was meant to be hot. This has been a problem for a good while. My friend was embarrassed to say the least Condo girl.

My parents moved to Skilled Nursing in March 2024 after living in Independent Living for 3 years. I have been so impressed with their level of care. Their private caregiver still comes to visit twice a week and she says Brookdale is the best facility she has seen! We have the same staff (no temp employees). It's been an easy transition for all of us.

My grandmother was at this facility to recover after breaking her hip. The care and attention were terrible. The initial tour was a total sales pitch to get you in the door and believing it was going to be a great experience. She had one amazing CNA and the rest of the staff was to be desired. I understand that these folks are understaffed and overworked - and it shows. At one point a nurse told my mother that she “asks too many questions”. Many of the residents there have no one to advocate for them so to have a staff member say that was disturbing and discouraging. Plus, upon evaluation at her new facility they discovered bed sores. Having never been in a care facility before, it was an unfortunate and sad experience for all family involved and it felt as if we were a burden to the staff responsible for her care. No support and would never recommend.
