I had the pleasure of touring The Commons at Elk Grove and from the moment I walked in I felt very welcome. I was greeted by friendly staff who were all smiling and happy. Karen the Director of Sales was great and I never felt pressured yet the opposite. She has a great personality and super fun to be around. Barbara the Director of Health Services is very knowledgeable and answered my questions while treating me like a family member. I was very happy to hear that The Commons does not and will not use temp agencies. This ensures that all the residents will not have the confusion of seeing new faces constantly which is a huge positive when looking for a forever home for your loved one. Aimee the Connections for Living Director was so sweet and embracing. I was very impressed with the memory care and layout. The residents were all cheerful and enjoying themselves. Aimee was happy to answer my long list of questions. I was very impressed with the activities the residents engage in. To top it off I was invited to stay for dinner which was fabulous. The menu was filled with wonderful choices and the pumpkin pie was delicious. The Commons of Elk Grove is at the top of my choices when looking for a forever home for my father.

The Commons at Elk Grove is an incredible community with a team that truly cares. Karen, the Director of Sales, goes above and beyond for families. She is warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping people find the right fit. Her kindness and attention to detail make the entire process feel effortless and personal. Barbara, the nurse, is just as amazing. Her compassion, professionalism, and dedication shine through in everything she does. It is clear she truly loves what she does and takes the time to ensure residents receive the best care possible. You can feel the heart and integrity of the team the moment you walk through the doors. I cannot recommend this community enough.

Our experience at The Commons has been superlative. Right from the beginning with Karen Wood we were so pleased with her wisdom, professionalism, her expertise, and her humor. She is an amazing listener and took an incredible amount of time to understand the needs of our relatives who we were hoping to move there. The staff on all levels of care were incredibly friendly and professional. Watching them interact with the residents gave the place such a warm family feel. And the food was delicious! We think The Commons is doing a wonderful job caring for our elders with respect, kindness, and skill.

What a wonderful afternoon of song and celebration! Thank you Commons for a great day for Mom! Update: there’s a brand new program at the Commons now that makes everyday special for mom. They focus on early-on dementia patients that need that extra something in their day - a bit more hands on engagement and direction that our Mom is really responding to! An incredible team at the Commons including Ms. Tina, Mom’s new best friend!
