My wife and I have lived at The Colonnades for 5-1/2 years. We have been completely satisfied with our experiences here. The greatest pleasure is an extraordinary group of fellow residents who are edducated, accomplished and have led fascinating lives. The are very welcoming, friendly and warm. A large variety of activities are offered, both in-house and out within the larger community. We consider ourselves fortunate to have found our final home here.

My Mom was in the skilled nursing area at the Colonnades. Mom had a fall & required a hip replacement. The Colonnades thankfully accepted Mom into their care area for rehab. I was grateful. This was my first experience with the Colonnades. Courtney Pearman welcomed us & made us feel like we were part of the family. My husband & I both work in the healthcare field, so we had high expectations. The Colonnades met those expectations. Mom received great care from a supportive staff. The food was good. She had no complaints. And was excited to be offered shrimp & crab cakes while she was there. The facility was extremely clean. My Mom had been in another local rehab facility previously, and I felt that I had to go there every day to make sure things were being done properly. I did not feel that way with the Colonnades at all. I trusted that the staff was properly taking care of Mom. I had no worries. The staff also were very good with communication. Which was a huge for me. The Rehab director, Lydia Inthidsen (Marshall) completely understood the expectations that I had for Mom. And she did a great job following thru. If Mom happens to need rehab again, the Colonnades will be my top choice.

I find the staff to be always helpful with issues related to local resources and how to connect with medical resources. The focus on Physical Therapy on site is a tremendous resource in relating with the medical community. Plus the presence of terrific musical programs, trips, and educational programs - especially those related to local history and geography. The knowledge of local shopping and transportation as well as sports is great. The friendliness of residents open many many discussions. On the whole a well related facility to feel at home and valued as a person with who can continue to share valuable relationships. I feel at home ans valued here. I also appreciate the staff response to issues raised by residents. The staff and residents are also flexible in creating new activities such as a group focused on grief.

My husband and I have been living at The Colonnades for almost 5 years. We are very pleased and happy to live here. Our fellow residents are friendly and fun and the team members that take care of all our needs are outstanding. There is a great positive feeling here. There are always a few who like to complain but they are a minority. I highly recommend The Colonnades for anyone who wishes to live a full and happy life in a community like The Colonnades.
