Our family loves the Claiborne. They take excellent care of our mother. Kim Thaker is the hairstylist in the salon and it is so convenient for mom to walk to her and she carefully washes and styles her hair. She is so personable and sends us pictures when she is done. Mom adores Kim and enjoys her time at the Salon. Kim has fit us in a couple of times at the last minute and we appreciate her and all the staff so much.

My mother moved in back in September of last year. Since the Claiborne has a salon on site, she tried it out for the first time about a week after moving in. She loved it and LOOKED fabulous. So much so that she left her previous hairdresser (after seeing for over 30 years). Kim Thacker is AMAZING! She always makes my Mom feel welcome and does an incredible job with her hair. Kim always sends me pictures of her after every visit. Just love the care and affection given to Mom only added to the great decision we made to choose The Claiborne.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for Ms. Kim Thacker’s genuine kindness, patience, and compassion. Ms. Thacker consistently goes the extra mile—not only by beautifully cutting my mother’s hair, but also by thoughtfully sending a follow-up photo every time. The happiness on my mother’s face says it all. Her smile reflects pure joy, not just from the haircut itself, but from the warmth, dignity, and respect with which she is treated. Ms. Thacker is quite simply exceptional.

Of all the Senior assisted living communities with memory care, in the Augusta area, the Claiborne has the potential to be the best. There is always room for improvement for all such communities. The Claiborne strives to be the best. The facility is beautiful, welcoming, easy to get around and clean. My loved one lived there from the time they opened in December 2018 until passing away November 2025. The Staff were friendly, worked with me regarding special needs, and cared for my mother with kindness and respect. They contacted me when concerns arose. Dining - the food was good, but sometimes a little to salty, and could be improved upon. Salon: Hi 5's to Trudy and Regina. These 2 ladies loved and respected my mother. Regina, did a fabulous job keeping her nails looking clean, healthy and beautiful. Trudy, her hair stylist, helped my mom look her best with clean, styled hair. Both of these ladies went above and beyond helping my mother feel beautiful, they both would do touch ups when needed for special occasions and they would send me photos of how she looked. Thank you Regina and Trudy for your love shown to her. Hospice. All the staff with Trinity Hospice were gentle, respectful and ministered to my mom and our family in a tender, respectful, loving way. Even the administrative staff was nice, friendly and helpful to me when needed. I couldn't have asked for more. Family Volunteers are welcome at the Claiborne and I enjoyed helping with crafts in the memory care unit.
