Care

Assisted Living

A living option for seniors or individuals who require assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, or medication management while maintaining a level of independence. Assisted living facilities offer personalized care plans and social activities that promote quality of life for their residents.

Independent Living

Designed to help older adults who want to maintain an active and independent lifestyle, these communities offer services and amenities that cater to residents’ needs, while encouraging a sense of community and freedom from the responsibilities of owning a home.

Memory Care

Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.

Respite Care

Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

Melinda and the entire staff at The Claiborne have been more than helpful, patient and kind in the process of moving my mother-in-law there. The facility is clean, the residents are happy and the staff is super helpful! Tasha and Angelle were also Super patient and positive during her assessment for the assistant living side. All in all, they all made it a positive experience for what was very frightening and sad for our family.

The Claiborne is a beautiful facility. Airy and beautiful. All of the residents were having a great time during my visit. The executive and assistant executive directors were very kind and had the best interests of their residents at heart.

Unfortunately, the only great aspect of the Claiborne for my family was our initial tour.  Shortly after our family member became a resident, our confidence in the facility we selected quickly waned as the quality of care, management, and a host of other things were beyond subpar. Putting all emotions aside, I want to state the cold hard facts, which can be verified, of my family's experience at the Claiborne. I’ve listed a few of these experiences in no particular order of egregiousness. Medication was administered improperly. Our family member fell on the floor in the restroom, and because a safety check was not conducted that night, they slept there overnight. Residents would go for extended periods of time eating food that wasn’t nutritious.  On several occasions, residents were served a slice of pizza and chips, or meat and bread with chips or a small cup of vegetables.  See attached pictures. There was a revolving door of staff members.  There was a constant shortage of nurses. Our family member had money stolen from them by a personal care staff member. Personal cleaning items were removed from the room and used in other resident’s rooms. Subjectively speaking, don’t be fooled by the smoke and mirrors when you tour.

The facility was nice, bright and clean. Both Hope and Melinda were very helpful and made us feel at home. Our tour of two units for informative and answered a lot of questions.
