My mother lived at The Cambridge Homes for several years, and I remain deeply grateful for the care, kindness, and support she received there. From the moment she arrived, it was clear this was much more than simply an assisted living facility — it truly felt like a warm and caring community. The staff were consistently compassionate, attentive, and respectful, not only toward my mother but toward our entire family. They took the time to know the residents personally, and it showed in the countless small acts of kindness that made such a difference day to day. The environment itself is welcoming and thoughtfully designed, creating a sense of comfort and calm. I was also continually impressed by the leadership and overall culture of the organization. There was a genuine commitment to resident well-being, dignity, and connection that could be felt throughout the community. As both a family member and a physician who spent decades in healthcare, I can say that the quality of care and humanity at The Cambridge Homes truly stands out. The Cambridge Homes is like no other senior assisted living place. Cosy, deeply charming, intimate, and warm, it feels like a large gorgeous home and not at all like an institution. Every member of staff is friendly, attentive, and caring, from the dining room to those assisting with medicine, to the management. The entertainment, exercise options, and education is fantastic and so are the trips. Lots to stimulate and amuse. The food is great. If you are looking for your self or your loved one, this is a true home where you can be assured that the experience will be warm and caring and very fun. I’m delighted my mother is a resident.

My mother has been a resident at The Cambridge Homes for four years, and I cannot say enough about the extraordinary level of care, dignity, and compassion she has received there. My mother is 84 years old, has physical limitations and cognitive decline, and also holds a doctorate in Education from Harvard. Finding a community where she would feel intellectually comfortable, emotionally supported, and genuinely respected was incredibly important to our family. The Cambridge Homes has exceeded every expectation. What makes this community truly special is the caliber of both the residents and the staff. Surrounded by fellow Harvard, MIT, and highly accomplished academic residents, my mother continues to feel stimulated, engaged, and “at home” among peers who share similar life experiences and intellectual curiosity. The care is deeply personalized. The staff knows her preferences, her routines, her challenges, and her strengths. They treat her with patience, warmth, and respect every single day. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness have brought enormous peace of mind to our family. She is also a very picky eater, and the food has been consistently excellent. Meals are thoughtfully prepared, high quality, and one of the highlights of her daily life. The activities, programming, and overall environment are truly world class. There is an atmosphere of dignity, intelligence, warmth, and community that is very rare to find in senior living. I am profoundly grateful to everyone at The Cambridge Homes for the exceptional care they provide and for helping my mother maintain quality of life, connection, and joy during this stage of her life.

My mother was a resident of The Cambridge Homes for just over two years. She was extremely happy there. Both she and I found the team of caregivers and the rest of the staff extremely supportive and sympathetic. The building feels more like a grand hotel than a home for the elderly. The cultural activities are particularly wonderful. I think there can’t be a better facility in which to age. Finally, I found the leadership team extremely helpful to me as I navigated the shifting needs of my mother.
