The Avalon of Commerce Township

Our family checked out several places as an assisted living residence for our mom. Avalon was instantly very impressive, and just felt like home to us and to our mom. It took a little while for her not want to be back at her house, that she had lived in independently for so many years. But once she did, she now tells us every day what a great decision it was for her to come to Avalon. The staff is very caring, and always greets her with a smile. They feel like family. I don’t want to dingle out individuals , but suffice it to say that she is well cared for — loved — by many. I would highly recommend Avalon.

Caring, competent, and professional! No less than six tours of other facilities, Avalon definitely checks all the boxes... community oriented, team is family centric, with a level of personal dedication that is necessary for this environment. Adaptive and accommodating... Avalon made adjustments for my parents as only one of them required the facility and its amenities, covering all the needs of my father, while providing opportunities for my mother to live a comfortable lifestyle. Our experience was professional, personal, and friendly... all items required for this adventure. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Memory Care Director. She is truly phenomenal at what she does. She is compassionate, professional, dedicated, and always willing to help whenever needed. No matter how busy she is, she makes herself available to answer questions, address concerns, and provide support to residents and their families. One of her greatest strengths is her communication. She keeps families informed, listens carefully, and makes sure everyone feels heard, valued, and supported. There have been challenges along the way, as there are in any community, but she always finds a way to address them and works hard to make things right. Her problem solving skills, commitment, and genuine care for the residents are remarkable. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure residents receive the best possible care, and her leadership brings peace of mind to families. We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact she has on the memory care community and highly recommend this assisted living community because of the outstanding care, communication, and support she provides.

I think Avalon is awesome! Why? The team is very attentive, supportive, and caring. Every time I visit our mom and leave, I know she’s in good hands. I have very few worries because I know things will be handled in a prompt and appropriate manner. Bottom line, it’s an amazing team, coupled with an outstanding facility, which makes for an outstanding experience for not just for her, but the family too.
