It has been a wonderful experience staying here at Taylor Springs. There are many positive stories to share with the community about this place. First, the facility is very beautiful and gives an atmosphere of support and encouragement to many families. Secondly, there are concerns to be addressed when seeing them. I encourage any and all support persons to share any concerns they may have about the facility. Much growth can occur when others share any concerns or provide feedback. Overall, my time here has been very positive, and the organization continues to grow. Best wishes in your future endeavors.

My husband has been in two other facilities for intensive rehab for unrelated issues. Both of these other facilities looked beautiful from the outside and the initial presentation was made to impress: the families choosing care for their loved one. However! The care he received at these two other places was marginal at best. Staff were rude, irritated and disengaged. Requests for help were ignored or significantly delayed. An unexpected fall required finding a new SNF/rehab facility. We could not be happier with Taylor Springs! The place is immaculate, and my husband’s room is clean, comfortable, and has every amenity imaginable. Everyone we have encountered makes eye contact, smiles and says a greeting. One gets the impression the employees love working at Taylor Springs. Never once have we been told, “that’s not my job”. We encountered a few logistical issues at the beginning (to be expected), which were immediately addressed, and even followed up on the following day- just to be sure everything was taken care of. Call lights are answered in a reasonable timeframe, and the therapy is outstanding. If my husband doesn’t care for what was served for a meal, he can request other substitute and they will bring it to him. Though my husband has been at Taylor Springs only a week, we know he is on the way to recovery, and the staff, all of the staff, contribute to that in some way. Choosing a place to recover from surgery can be daunting. So many things to consider in making a decision in a short period of time from hospital discharge is unnerving at best. From our prior two experiences I feel quite confident and comfortable recommending Taylor Springs.

To Executive Director Brody Evans and Taylor Springs Staff, I wish to thank all of you for the extra layers of care you gave my husband, Denny Lyman, during his recent 3 month embattled journey against Alzheimer’s and Congestive Heart Failure. He may not have remembered your names, but never forgot how good you made him feel. You were also kind to extend that same high level of care and compassion to me. Special thanks to all who showed up at Denny’s bedside and walkout on April 21. As his body was wheeled down the hall, I looked up and saw both walls lined with your beautiful angelic faces. It felt like a sampling of Heaven—warm and comforting. I wept. Most of all, I am thankful for your prayer support. It was prayers like yours that helped Denny get through the deepest and darkest parts of the valley of the shadow of death onto the mountaintop of Heaven where he now resides. I jingle with the joy of Jesus knowing that Denny is swinging away on a heavenly golf course and being a chow- hound again—both of which had diminished his life tremendously. I thank God often for placing Denny in your loving care. May your kindness be returned in the same beautiful way it was offered to Denny. Such a positive experience as Denny’s caregiver has inspired me to be a volunteer in the Memory Care Unit. The entire staff has cultivated within me a culture of wanting to return and give back. To me being valued is one of the greatest forms of recognition for a volunteer. Without fail, I am showered with thanks, smiles and hugs as I walk through the halls of Taylor Springs. Talk about making me feel special!!! The Executive Director and entire staff all do this so well.

Very disappointed with my Mom's care at this facility. They squadded her to the hospital at 530am an did not contact the family until 815am so she was over there by herself, did not send DNR paperwork to hospital. My Mom was in sepsis shock when she got there. When I arrived she cld not talk. Never once did the family get an update on her care. I asked for a call from the Dr. an was told the Dr does not call family. When asking the nurses about her care got 2 opposite stories. They did not monitor her food intake. I requested blood test an UTI test never got results an they did not do the UTI test until a week later, still waiting on those results. Called several times to different areas to address concerns but never got a return call. When I finally got a call back after she was transferred to hospital spoke with Jen an all she cld say was sorry an she will work to train staff better. I feel if my concerns were addressed the first time, she might still be here. My Mom passed away 8 days later an never got to hear her voice once transferred to hospital, in a coma. Please don't put yr loved one at this facility.
