    My husband was a client from October/25 till February 26. He was walking with assistance. His stay at Sunrise was a pure terror. He had unaccounted for injuries ,skin tears, bruises. He had several trips thr hospital. He lost a tremendous amount of weight and other residents claimed he was not fed. When we moved him to another facility we discovered he was given 2x the medication amount he was prescribed at Sunrise. Very poor care ,they were not invested in their clients. Some staff members were inattentive to patients needs. I would not recommend anyone send their family member to Sunrise.

    I am sharing our recent experience in case it is helpful to other families considering Sunrise of Raleigh. We registered a complaint with the Department of Health Service Regulation (DHSR) following the accidental death of our Dad while he was a resident of Sunrise of Raleigh, NC at the end of 2025. The most recent DHSR Monitoring Visit from March 6, 2026 resulted in a 2 star rating for the facility with a GS.121D-34 Type A1 violation - the lost severe violation in NC adult care homes. Disappointingly, but perhaps not surprising, A Place for Mom refuses to post this information to help inform decision-making by others.

    My client seems happy here. The staff is good Kevin and Devontae are excellent. The residents seemed well kept and looked good. The premises is well secured so the residents are kept safe. The rooms and common areas are clean and nicely decorated. I would recommend this facility.

    Staff were so helpful and accomodating. They took their time showing us the facilities. They patiently worked with us on all paperwork. Fully explained all the requirements. Overall a very good experience.
