Sunrise La Costa has been an amazing place to live. The community is clean, peaceful, and well-maintained, and the atmosphere truly feels welcoming. What really sets this place apart is the staff—they are incredibly kind, professional, and always willing to help. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed assistance, they’ve been responsive and genuinely caring. It makes a huge difference to live somewhere where the staff clearly takes pride in what they do and treats residents with respect. I highly recommend Sunrise La Costa to anyone looking for a comfortable and positive living experience

Review for Sunrise at La Costa I truly wish I could write a positive review, but our experience raised serious concerns about basic care. During my father’s stay, he was not showered for over two weeks, which is unacceptable in any assisted living setting. In addition, the overall care and responsiveness were not up to the standard one would expect, especially given the cost. Communication was inconsistent, and I often felt I had to step in to manage things that should have been handled by staff. That said, I do want to acknowledge that management eventually took responsibility for the situation. They recognized their mistakes, waived the 30-day notice, and provided a full refund, which I appreciate and respect. Owning errors and making things right matters, and they did do that in the end. My hope in sharing this review is not to disparage, but to be transparent for families considering this community. While the resolution was handled appropriately, the initial lapses in care were serious and should never happen to any resident. I strongly encourage future families to ask detailed questions, stay closely involved, and advocate firmly for their loved ones. My dad was moved to santianna and it’s the best out there I’ve heard nightmare stories about glenbrook and Belmont just being transparent so your due diligence and stay involved. I woukd say pick santianna or Belmont or the other Encinitas one I can remember but more of a Jewish community. Or Carlsbad by the Sea.

As a frequent visitor to Sunrise, I’m continually impressed by the exceptional care and environment they provide. The caregivers are not only attentive and professional but also truly compassionate, treating every resident with genuine dignity and respect. From the Executive Director to the med techs, the entire team is approachable and incredibly responsive, creating clear and reassuring communication for both residents and their families. The facility maintains a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a close-knit community than a care center. It’s always clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable, home-like setting indeed.

My relative has been at Sunrise at La Costa for a month now and we are so pleased with the facility and all the caring and competent staff, including the front desk concierges. He is younger than the other residents and feels comfortable there because of the nice caregivers, the lively atmosphere, and his pleasant and functional accommodations. This is an addition to my previous review: After 11 months, we are still very happy with our family member's care at Sunrise at La Costa. The staff has helped with several challenging situations and they are always so respectful and understanding. We are are very grateful for everything, and we always enjoy visiting this lovely facility.
