I have been at STORYPOINT Prospect since early January 2026 and find it to be warm , authentic and professional. The Staff members are passionate about their responsibilities. The support structure of nursing, caregivers ,chefs, waitresses and waiters is wonderful. I have been blessed and have a family that did research and found me a real “community” that is my new home. 4 stars for assisted living and 1 star for memory care. My father was in assisted living here for a very short period. He enjoyed the AL environment and we were impressed with the quality of his stay at that time. He did need to move to memory care however and their memory care is another story entirely. We got so many conflicting stories from different managers/workers about their policies - what is allowed in his room, etc. There seemed to be more than enough associates there, however they were always standing in a group talking among themselves, while chaos was surrounding them - dad’s room and self a mess - one time he and his room were covered in feces, which my sister cleaned up. Another time, he had trail of cereal crumbs coming from his room and huge spill in his room. No one in the chatting group seemed concerned, when we asked for materials to help clean, they just let us do it. Why have all that staff if they couldn't care less and aren’t doing anything productive? When dad happened to have some extreme bouts of being disoriented, which occurred several times, it always seemed to be between Fri night and Sunday evening. I don’t know if this aligns with leadership/associate scheduling, but something needs to be looked into there. I always suspected that someone was giving him a drug (that we were never made aware of) to make him easier to deal with. And then he had some falls that seemed to follow that pattern as well. My father passed away while there and when my family went there to clean up his belongings, not one single associate stopped in to express sympathy. If associates couldn’t be bothered to show family any compassion, how could they possibly be showing any to the residents.

My mom has been at StoryPoint 3 years. She has grown to enjoy her time there because she has developed so many friendships. The close knit nature of the resident community is inspiring. They also keep her safe.

My father was in assisted living for only a couple of weeks. Their AL side seems very nice. Unfortunately my father needed memory care and things are not so great on that side. Workers were huddled together talking when I came in and seemed annoyed when I wanted to talk to one of them. My father passed a few months later at the end of January. I recently received returned mail where they didn’t give him the Christmas card or birthday cards I had mailed. He was very unhappy in memory care and it was hard to get consistent answers from staff.
