I have to give 4 stars because I don’t actually have a family member living here. I’m sure it would be 5 if I did. Matt took me on a tour and was just the perfect blend of professional and friend as he guided me through what StoryPoint offers. Clean bright engaging community. I was very impressed!

This place looks great for mom or dad, when they just seem to be a bit tired and are ready for this transition. The place was absolutely spotless, very clean, staff seem very friendly. Library looked very well organized. Dining room was absolutely clean, very “home” like but with the experience of a great restaurant. Even outside is clean. Really looks like a peaceful place to just enjoy when ever you are ready to!! It’s like a hidden Eden, I live so close and didn’t even notice this piece of paradise existed for the older people we love!! Am young, but even I feel like living here. LOL.

My Dad moved there in the summer of 2025 in the independent living side. All was good at the beginning. But as time went by we started to notice a few things not quite living up to what was promised. First it wasn't kept as clean as it could have been. We often used a side stairwell entrance, and it was often dirty. Bugs, tissues, dirt etc., in the hallway going to the stairs. We mentioned this to the staff, sent pictures, etc., but it was an on going issue that never really was addressed. My dad was also supposed to get an every other week light cleaning of his apartment. This started happening less and less as time went on. We asked the head maintenance person about it. He didn't have a good answer, and when we asked what his records showed about when the apartment was cleaned, he couldn't produce anything. They also lost their liquor license a few months after my dad moved in. They touted the "Happy Hours" when we went to look at it before he moved there, but they never did get their liquor license back for months and still didn't have it when my dad moved out. Next, my dad broke the glass in his oven door. It stayed that way for a good 3.5 months and was still broken when he moved out. Move to this place with your eyes wide open. The food was good, and the menu seemed to vary enough so that you didn't get tired of the choices. Cable was included, the appliances seemed ok, but low end. There was both washers and dryers in some units and well as community ones on each floor. The activities were the standards, bingo, etc. Overall it's an average place, nothing special, but the lack of some cleanliness aspects and of follow through on repair issues makes it seem likes it's trending downward overall.

I have over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. I am a licensed Cuban nurse with four postgraduate diplomas, and my husband is a general practitioner and intensive care physician. We are both professionals with extensive experience and a deep commitment to compassionate care. During my time working at this facility, I witnessed situations that I believe it is important for families to be aware of so they can understand the reality of the work environment and the treatment of patients. Despite my professionalism, experience, and dedication, I received rude and offensive treatment from the manager and the leadership of the facility. On several occasions, the manager addressed the women with disrespectful and degrading language, creating a toxic environment that is completely inappropriate for a healthcare setting. I also faced discriminatory behavior, including racism, which affected both my emotional well-being and the quality of the work environment. Furthermore, there were multiple labor irregularities: we were not paid our full salaries on several occasions, and the bonuses that were promised were never given. These types of practices reflect a lack of ethics and completely deficient administrative management. During my time there, I witnessed internal messages from the leadership using highly offensive and vulgar language towards the staff. They addressed employees with crude words, disrespect, and veiled threats. This type of communication reflects the toxic and unprofessional environment within the organization and demonstrates the leadership's inability to handle situations with professionalism and respect.
