After many tours around the area, I chose Story Point-Livonia for my mother because of the extra details they offer in the memory care unit. Heat sensitive monitoring is a game changer. The single story building is a cozy venue versus others with multiple levels for seniors to get turned around. It is neat, clean, and updated. Every staff member that passed by said hello with eye contact. I was impressed with the compassion and attention that Raelene and Kathy showed me as my mothers' situation escalated. Mom was placed within days of my tour. the price is in the ballpark with others in the area. Take the tour and see for yourself. I hope you are just as impressed as I was.

My mom was just moved out this past weekend as I was concerned that she was not being provided care with activities of daily living and my fears were correct. Upon her intake at the new facility, when we took off her shoes her nails were so long they were growing back into her toes, the bottom of her feet were black. When she was showered you could see the dirt on the bottom of the shower. Her clothes all smelled and it was obvious that her clothes were not being changed or washed. Lord only knows how long she wore the same undergarments. I worry for the others living there.

All I can say if you care about your family members do not use this facility. We had my dad there for just over a year and it has been one issue after another, from medication errors, not cleaning the room properly (including leaving poop on the floor for over 24 hours), lying to us about sending out lab work, etc. You know there is something wrong when in just over a year there is only 3 employees that are still there from the day we moved my dad in. The current director brags in letters to the families that she has hired over 64 staff since she started… how can you expect quality of care when having extremely hi gf turnover of staff is a badge of honor! Please avoid this facility at all costs.

Kathy and her staff did everything to accommodate, care for and provide guidance for my dad while he lived at Provision/Livonia. The care staff was genuine and responsive. They took time to get to know his story, habits and needs. Thank you all for your care and kindness!
