Please reconsider if you wish to place your loved one at the Birmingham location. My mom resided here for four weeks before she passed away. Everything was okay until she was place on Beaumont hospice after a short stay in the hospital. StoryPoint wanted me to place her with their in house hospice team. When I didn’t want to change to their hospice team her care was not the same. Especially with the pain management coordination with Beaumont Hospice. The Wellness Director Alexandra Willis had a terrible and unprofessional attitude. Also, when my mom passed away they didn’t contact me first ( which is protocol) they contacted Beaumont Hospice and they told me my mom passed away. I never received any condolences from StoryPoint.

The staff and leadership here genuinely care about the residents. They are attentive, professional, and create a warm, supportive environment. It’s clear that strong leadership plays a role in how well the team works together. No place is perfect, but the effort and compassion here stand out. Families can feel confident knowing their loved ones are in good hands.

We recently made the difficult decision to place my dad in Memory Care and while it was a big transition, we’ve been incredibly impressed with the level of care attention he is receiving. The staff has been warm, welcoming a patient with both my dad and our family. Although it’s been a big adjustment, we are already feeling a sense of relief, knowing that my dad is in a place where he’s safe and well cared for. We are excited to see how he continues to thrive here, and we feel so lucky to know that he is in such capable hands.

The care staff is great! They have really taken the time to get to know my mom and it shows with how well they care for her. Thanks to them, my mom feels right at home. The Staff is what makes this place special, and it’s one of the main reasons we’re so happy with our choice of StoryPoint Birmingham.
