StoryPoint Senior Living is truly a wonderful community! The moment you walk in, you notice how beautiful and welcoming the environment is. The community is well maintained, warm, and thoughtfully designed to make residents feel comfortable and at home. One of the best things about StoryPoint is how many fun activities and events they offer. There is always something going on—from social gatherings and games to fitness activities and special events that bring residents together. It creates such a lively and engaging atmosphere where everyone can stay active, make friends, and enjoy their days. A special shout-out to Cole Osentoski, who is absolutely fantastic! Cole goes above and beyond to make sure residents and visitors feel welcomed and cared for. His positive attitude, professionalism, and genuine kindness truly make a difference and add to the great experience at the community. Overall, StoryPoint is a beautiful place with an incredible team and a vibrant environment. It’s clear that a lot of care and effort goes into making it such a special place for seniors to live and enjoy life.

Took a tour of the community. I liked the different colors on each floor. The outdoor area was beautiful, with warmer weather coming I’m sure it will be used often. I liked the areas set up to play games, or cards, or just to chat. Nice dinning room area as well. I was impressed with all the common areas honestly. Warm and inviting

My parent lived at StoryPoint Birmingham from 2021–2025. There were positives: my parent loved their apartment, enjoyed some of the activities, and felt safe, which mattered to me as a family member. That said, serious issues became clear over time—especially after corporate ownership changes in 2023. Staff turnover was constant, and my parent repeatedly lost caregivers they had bonded with. Morale seemed low, which directly affected residents. The food was inconsistent, and for the past two years the elevators were frequently broken, leaving residents isolated in their rooms. Costs were excessive and increased aggressively every year—roughly $300/month annually in rent alone, plus very high care fees. When we asked for consideration due to rising costs, our care plan was changed in a way that significantly increased expenses instead. StoryPoint controls many in-house services (doctors, pharmacy, therapy, hospice), which leaves families with little recourse once a resident is too fragile to move. Most concerning were hospice delays near the end of my parent’s life, including long waits for medications meant to ease suffering. This facility offers comfort and safety for some residents, but families should go in with eyes open. The corporate focus on profit over care creates stress, instability, and extremely high costs at a vulnerable stage of life.

I have volunteered here a handful of times for different occasions over the past few months and have had a fantastic experience every time. The facility is beautiful when you enter the lobby, with a warm feeling that carries throughout. The staff is very attentive and knows all the residents quite well, and the residents are always a pleasure to sit and have conversations with. I highly recommend it if you have a loved one who needs to relocate or if you would like to volunteer sometime.
