Really happy with our experience at Sterling Aventura so far! Karen has been incredible throughout the entire process of getting my FIL set up in AL at Sterling Aventura. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond; providing a thorough virtual tour, making sure everything was ready before move-in, and helping us feel completely at ease with the transition. What really stood out was her continued support even after move-in. She has followed up multiple times to check in on how things are going and has assisted with several moving requests without hesitation. Her professionalism, compassion, and dedication have made a huge difference. We’re so grateful for all her help and highly recommend working with her when looking for an assisted living facility for your loved ones! Also, special mention to Daniel who has managed to get FIL to engage in the activities when no other facility has succeeded! He asked us what FIL liked and tailored some of the programs to include those likes! Also, the nursing team has been responsive and helpful with every request and question we have had. They always follow up with the floor staff to get us answers and have provided comprehensive updates. Highly recommend!

Five Stars — Truly Outstanding Care The Sterling Aventura is a standout assisted living community. It’s warm, welcoming, and run with genuine heart. The facility is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff are attentive, professional, and deeply caring. Mark Monaghan is absolutely phenomenal—a true leader who sets the tone for excellence. He knows every resident by name, which is something you rarely see and speaks volumes about his commitment and compassion. That level of personal attention is what makes The Sterling feel like home. Knowing our loved one is safe, happy, and cared for by people who truly care brings so much peace of mind. We’re incredibly grateful to be part of this special place.

My mother spent the last six months of her life at The Sterling Aventura ALF, and I truly regret choosing this place for her. From the very beginning, I witnessed a steady decline in her health and emotional state. She was never happy there, and she did not receive the care, attention, or love that had been promised to us. On several nights, through the camera in her room, I witnessed staff members yelling at my mother simply because they did not understand her when she spoke Spanish. No elderly person—especially one in a vulnerable state—should ever be treated in such a disrespectful and insensitive way. Thankfully, I was able to move her to a smaller facility for the last month of her life. There, she finally received the compassion and personalized care she had been missing—though sadly, it came too late, as her condition had already deteriorated too much. At The Sterling, the only person I can genuinely praise is Daniel Dhanaram, Director of Resident Services. He showed consistent kindness and attention toward my mother and made a real difference in her day-to-day life. For that, I will always be thankful. Only go here if you are fully independent. Some of the staff are rude and should not be working in a caregiving field. The building is pretty and clean, but residents need much more than appearance—they need genuine care and empathy. Unfortunately, my experience dealing with Anthony Ferro, who handles billing and administrative matters, was extremely frustrating. I was owed a refund since March, and despite countless emails, phone calls, and messages, I rarely received any response. When I finally got a check, the amount was unclear and seemingly incorrect. Since then, I’ve tried repeatedly to contact Mr. Ferro, but I’m constantly told he’s unavailable. The lack of professionalism and accountability is unacceptable—especially in a place that claims to care for vulnerable seniors and their families. I share this review not out of anger, but in the hope that it will help other families make more informed decisions during an already difficult time. The Sterling Aventura may look impressive from the outside, but my family’s experience was one of sadness, disappointment, and deep regret.

I want to thank Sterling, and most particularly Daniel, for providing my mother with a true “home” after she lost her most beloved husband. She has found amazingly loving and caring people (she calls the staff her “angels in disguise”) in your facility. She loves the wonderful food and participates in so many activities throughout the day, which keep her mind busy. And at the same time, she maintains her independence and schedules her “alone” time. In her own words, she lives “in a permanent ocean cruiser” with a 5-star hotel. Thank you for this miracle. (Pics posted with her permission)
