I moved out of Spring Leaf Place after living there for 8 1/2 years due to numerous things. We were told that the rent increase per year would be 2 to 3 percent. Instead it was 8 percent. My rent for a one bedroom wih office space went from $1600 per month to $2001 in two years. Water bills were added to rent payments with no explaination as to usage. That is high considering the residents are on fixed incomes. My aparment was never painted nor were any of the community areas. Like wise, carpet was not replaced in apartments even though many were thread bare. New carpet was placed in lobby and first floor halls that was of poor quality and was coming apart in less than a 3 months. Maintenance was lacking in that we had maintenance 2 days a week. Our porches were filithy. The last high pressure cleaning was done before Covid. Spring Leaf Place was a beautiful place when I moved there in 2017. Story Point purchased the building 4 years ago, and things have gotten terribly bad. As of June 2026 there are 11 empty apartments. And lastly, my last day there was April 30. As of today, June 12, I have not received my deposit back nor information as to why the deposit isn't being returned. Ohio law stated that desposits or letters must be returned within 30 days.

We are still quite dirty. Trash in Community Room not emptied, floor unswept and/or mopped. Entryways are still cobwebbed and unswept. Light in north stairway still burned out even after a 3+ month work order submitted. (This is a safety factor.) Again, we have an office manager absence and in need of replacement. {This appears to be a "revolving door" position.} Containers of rock salt still at entryways. (How long ago have we had snow or ice?) Parking lots and driveways need resurfacing (or at least sealed) and striped).

The maintenance employee was excellent. I had just moved in and this was important to me!
