I cannot speak highly enough about the incredible team at Southern Lifestyle . From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of care. The staff go above and beyond every single day to ensure residents feel safe, engaged, and valued. Their compassion and attention to detail truly make this community feel like home. The Executive Director leads by example—with strong leadership, clear communication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. It’s evident that the team is unified by a shared mission to create a nurturing, vibrant environment for seniors. Whether it’s through fun events, exceptional care, or simply a friendly conversation, the staff and leadership here continually exceed expectations. I went there to visit my friends grandmother and the place was beautiful, has a very large dinning room. Another area where they had a projector for movies. They had popcorn and snacks. It was almost like being at the movies. Her Grandmother absolutely loves it, and everyone who works there was really nice.

Edit: In response to the response from southern Life Assisted Living… your director contacted my mother minutes after I posted the review and threatened to get a lawyer because I mentioned the director by name. I will remove the directors name but I will not take down my review. My dad lives here on the memory care assisted living unit. If it was up to me id move him somewhere else. I love Mrs. Betty and a couple of the other caregivers but there is almost always only one person working, which is crazy. There are NEVER any activities going on, even if it’s on the calendar it doesn’t happen and how could it with one person running the whole show on the unit. They have had the hallway torn up for months now. They refuse to put the names back on the doors which is wild to be told that they don’t know their names and can’t read anyway. The director, is super rude for telling me that and that having their names on their doors doesn’t help. It cost over 4,000 a month to live here. I swear if there was any other way to do this myself I would but I have to work full time and I’m not in charge of my dad’s affairs. Id give 5 stars only for the over-worked caregivers but for the facility I give 2. I also don’t appreciate coming in the building and not being able to find anyone to give me access to the unit and being told things like, “ oh we haven’t seen you lately”. Seriously, I don’t need help feeling guilty about what time I have to spend with my dad. I moved here from Chicago and uprooted my entire life to be closer to him so the staff should keep their opinions to themselves about how much I frequent this depressing facility. The pictures on the advertisements ARE VERY MISLEADING AMD I CANNOT FIND ANYTHING IN THIS FACILITY THAT MATCHES THOSE PICTURES, currently. My mom told me that the Director told her that the staff was tired of me complaining which is strange since not one time have I complained to the staff about anything but I have taken my concerns directly to the director. So apparently the director thinks trying to get my mom to keep me quiet is her way of dealing with complaints. I will complain every single day if I see that I need to. Also I can’t post pictures because they don’t allow it.

I took a tour last week. It was a very home feel from the reception to all aspects of an ALF. The rooms were very clean and tidy. I happened to be there when the residents were doing fun activities. The lady that took us around I believe her name was Natalie surely was familiar with all aspects of what a loving family would want for their loved one to experience.
