Solista Wilmington

We moved our mom to Solista Wilmington in August, and the experience has been nothing short of wonderful. From day one, Kim went above and beyond to help us navigate the transition, making what could have been a stressful process incredibly smooth. Our mom faced several health setbacks over the past year, so seeing her truly thriving again has meant everything. She’s enjoying the social interactions, the sense of community, and much to her relief the freedom from the responsibilities of home maintenance. It’s been a noticeable and heartwarming change. The entire staff has been friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. Their support eased our worries, the transition, and helped our family feel confident that Mom is in a place where she’s safe, supported, and happy.

Is this place still letting this lady Cathy I think is her name rip off the residents?? The one who delivered food from lakeshore commons kitchen for a ridiculous fee. This woman was allowed to wander around and wasn’t an employee nor had family there. Just going around taking money. Did that get handled. ?? I noticed many negative truthful comments deleted

I was thinking about planning a tour of Solista, because I heard great things about Lake Shore Commons in the past. I recently connected with an old friend who is a resident there and they said since the take over, the decor looks like a prison and is not welcoming at all. Also the general manager is not always available. I was also told that you are limited to in house caregivers and independent caregivers will not be available.

I wanted to update my review now that the complex is now Solista by Cogir. My mom was here for 2 years and loved it. Because of health issues, Mom has recently had to go into a skilled nursing facility. The Solista staff (in particular, Kim Campbell) could NOT have been more helpful during this stressful time. She took care of so much of the logistics and made this move so much easier for our mom. Mom wanted to add how much she will miss her friends, the staff who she grew close to including the kitchen staff, the cleaning staff and her stylist, Kim, Tabitha and Reba. She sends her thanks for giving her the dignity and care over the past two years that allowed her to live life on her own terms. I will forever be grateful that we chose Solista for Mom's home. Thank you all! Previous review: Love this place! My 90 yo mom recently moved in. She is safe, happy, and relaxed. The apartment is beautiful. Great staff!
