Silverado Barton Springs Memory Care Community

Silverado has been a life-changer for our family and my father. As many families dealing with dementia and memory care know, it’s something most hospitals and care facilities really don’t understand. We learned this the hard way with the treatment my father received at hospitals and another care facility. Repeated attempts to restrain and keep my father bed ridden. No one you talked to understood how to care for someone who couldn’t communicate what was going on. They really didn’t understand dementia at all. It was very sad. That changed the day we found Silverado. At the time my dad couldn’t walk because of the weeks in bed he was forced to stay in. Pat personally drove a couple hours to visit my dad at a hospital in Temple to review his condition. Once he arrived at Silverado, the magic began to happen. Today he is happy, healthy and walking around each day with the freedom and energy he had been fully lacking at other facilities. We have been blessed to find Silverado and the amazing people who work there. Pat and Margarita have done an amazing job and we are extremely thankful to have found them.

What an absolutely incredible community right here! Very, very clean, organized, friendly staff, and happy residents! You walk in and immediately feel welcomed. The residents always seem to be smiling and giggling, and having a good time and genuinely seem happy to be right where they are. It is quite obvious the caretakers love their job as well. They are extremely hands-on, pay very close attention to detail, and do whatever it takes to make sure the loved one is living their best life. It’s no wonder Silverado has multiple awards and accolades. Highly highly highly recommend!

I recently toured Silverado Barton Springs with Margarita, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. From the moment we met, her compassion, knowledge, and genuine dedication truly stood out. During the tour, she beautifully showcased not only the community, but also the level of care and connection between the team and residents. It was clear how much heart goes into everything they do, which meant a lot to me while searching for the right place for my loved one. Although we ultimately were not able to place my mother at the community, Margarita went above and beyond by providing helpful resources and connecting me with other options. She took the time to educate me, answer all of my questions, and ensure I felt supported every step of the way. I’m incredibly grateful for her kindness and guidance during such an important and emotional process.

Silverado Barton Springs is a distinctly different memory care community. Within the first 20 minutes of our tour of the campus I could actually see and more importantly feel the difference. As someone who has unfortunately had the need for care of multiple family members over the past several years, Silverado is without question the best community, top to bottom, that I have ever experienced. I believe it all starts at the top with extremely capable and compassionate leadership - Pat Yoesting, Carrie Cadenhead and Sonny Beadle. All professional, all very busy and yet each of them were totally accessible and willing to help at a moments notice. But the real difference was the front line employees and caregivers. The compassion and attention to details followed through to every employee I interacted with. These folks have an incredibly challenging job to face each and every day - 24 hours per day. They do it with courtesy and a smile. Their level of teamwork was top notch. Their compassion was evident by just observing the style of care they provided for our loved one. I highly recommend that Silverado Barton Springs be on you list for consideration if your family member has the need for memory care. That's all they do and I think they are the best.
