Senior Commons was recommended by A Home for Mom. They responded quickly to set up a tour of facility and kept in contact while a decision was made to move Dad there. Very friendly staff and private rooms are very homelike. Dad enjoys the many activities available daily.

Initially, I was very concerned about admitting my mother to a long-term care facility. Then I met the people at Senior Commons at Powder Mill. I'm very happy to say that all of my concerns were satisfied to the utmost. My mother is extremely happy there, and I'm extremely happy with the care that she's getting.

My 91 year old brother moved to the Senior Commons independent living facility 2 years ago. He has a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment that is spacious and very comfortable. Most importantly he was able to take his cat with him. Both of them seem to love it there. My brother takes part in all of the activities. He enjoys the camaraderie with the other residents and particularly likes the fun they have in the dining room at mealtime. I am extremely satisfied with the experience he has had there. The staff is wonderful and keeps an eye on him. I highly recommend Senior Commons for anyone looking for a friendly new place free of the responsibilities of home ownership. I will consider it myself when the time comes.

My wife and I just toured Senior Commons at Powder Mill yesterday. Both Jennifer and Donna were the most friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic people we have ever met. They answered all of our questions and provided us with an excellent tour. The accommodations are beautiful and sparkling clean. All public areas and lounges are beautiful and comfortable. The Club room is very nice and spacious. We had lunch in the Independent Living dining room and it was delicious. All the residents were friendly that we met as were all of the Senior Commons associates. We met the Chef and a number of the dining associates. All were friendly and accommodating. We met the Shuttle bus driver and the housekeeping lady. Both were very friendly and we had nice conversations with them. We looked at 2BR and 1BR apartments in the Independent Living area. Both are well equipped, spacious, well lit, open and functional. Lots of storage room and the separate laundry room in each apartment is a very nice touch. We saw their Activities Calendar and their Dining Menu. Both were excellent. We were more than pleased with everything we saw at Senior Commons at Powder Mill.
