Royal Oaks is a wonderful, new home for all who take the plunge into community living. What a great way to spend your time doing things you like and not having to take care of the sprinklers that don't work (someone else does that!) No more cooking if you don't want to or cleaning. Lots of special dining opportunities and entertainment and activities on and off campus. We are a wooded retreat yet close to shopping. What could be better than to have a beautiful place to live and a fantastic staff to care for us!

I have been visiting a friend at Royal Oaks Manor for several years, mainly the skilled nursing area. One of the first things I notice when entering the building is that it doesn’t have the ‘smell’ that I’ve encountered in so many facilities like this. It is beautifully appointed, landscaped well and the overall physical aspect of the facility is very pleasant. In the main building there are several sitting areas, one with a piano that anyone can use, and a large dining room. The food and the service at the dining room were just as eating at a nice restaurant. The wait staff are very good at meeting individuals needs- whether food related or physical comfort. My friend needed significant daily help and support by the nursing staff. I found them to be very professional, but also quite kind and caring. When issues would arise, they were generally resolved quite quickly. After years living here, there were some great friendships developed with the staff (myself included!), and even those that had moved on, from the organization, would continue to check in on my friend. There are plenty of activities taking place each day, to participate or not is completely up to the individual, but they will make sure you know about them and encourage you to join. And over this past year of lockdowns, The Manor made every possible effort to make sure residents had opportunities to connect with family and friends. From Video chats to window visits- they became very creative, all the while placing health & safety at the forefront and following state regulations. I know it was challenging- but they definitely went the ‘extra mile’. When the time arises for a family member, or myself, to have additional care, I will seriously consider Royal Oaks Manor at the top of the list.

My parents moved into an independent living apartment in 2001 and then moved to assisted care in 2010. My father passed away in 2017. My parents visited many similar communities before deciding to reside a Royal Oaks. Their top priorities were good food and a quiet community. My parents enjoyed the activities at Royal Oaks, including the exercise classes and the church services. And as their needs increased they were quickly provided the additional support and care that they needed. My mother is still a resident in Assisted Care. She is receiving exceptional care from the Nurses, CNAs and caregivers. The staff is dedicated to keeping residents healthy and happy. My mother likes the food, and there are healthy options if the resident prefers something other than the main dish. Housekeeping does a good job at cleaning the rooms and maintaining the common areas. The grounds are lovely and meticulously maintained and include an oak grove. I have visited relatives that moved into other similar facilities, and I believe my parents made a good decision when they moved to Royal Oaks.

There's gold in these foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains - senior-living gold! Royal Oaks has a stunning campus of 15+ acres with California Live Oak trees and horses grazing across the road! Beautiful facilities! Friendly and interesting people with whom we've become close in just a couple of years! Caring staff people who have also become friends! Royal Oaks is a neighborhood as neighborhoods were meant to be. May 2024 There are three things about Royal Oaks I want to mention to you: 1. The people. The people on the staff are just special! Caring and responsive! The residents are people you'll want to get to know and appreciate! They are very good neighbors. This is a true neighborhood! 2. The place. The setting here is remarkable - eighteen acres of old growth oak and sycamore trees growing as they have for over a hundred years in a semi-rural community nestled at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains with Southern California climate! And even horses grazing lazily in the pasture across the road! 3. The "atmosphere." I would describe the atmosphere as good California vibrations! It's a place you feel good coming home to. People you want to sit down and talk with. To swap amusing and not always wholesome (nor even true) stories with. A fun place on a Saturday night! A place to be with that special someone!
