I toured River Oaks in early February 2025 because I need a place to go for myself. River Oaks is a beautiful facility. The rooms were lovely and the employees I met were very nice. They treated the residents respectfully. The dining room looked like a fine dining restaurant, and t activity rooms were furnished appropriately. I have decided on a place that is closer to my sister's home. Debra was so helpful and truly gave me facts about assisted living, avenues for funding and advice about veteran's services.

I wanted to take the time to say that River Oaks was a great place to visit. As I started out my search for my mom I started my visits with River Oaks. First let me say that Linda was amazing and very caring and has a passion for her job and it shows. Miss Sharon the chef is as sweet as they come. I loved the layout and the rooms are played out in much different ways than the standard box looking rooms that you see everywhere else. The courtyard space is beautiful and some rooms have direct access to the courtyard. They have long tenured staff which is great for these facilities. If you’re looking for a place for your older folks I would for sure take a tour with Linda. Although my mom did not pick River Oaks she really loved the space and the staff. My mom just had a feeling about the place she picked and it came with a very small % of things she wanted.

I really enjoyed my time there touring the community. The staff was warm and welcoming. Everyone had big smiles and the people that lived there seem to be having a great time. Unfortunately, our family could not afford the cost for our mother to be there, but we recommend this facility if you can.

We are early in our journey with River Oaks. But, so far so good! I feel like this is a really great little facility. I think they do the basics really well. The staff is extremely nice. They have a good caring team. I have been impressed with how they interact with the residents. It seems like a good culture. They have a lot of activities during the day. This afternoon they even had a really nice sitdown Thanksgiving dinner. I’ve been very pleased to see that my Mom actually gets out and doesn’t stay in her room. She is interacting with people. It feels like a good team and they seem like they enjoyed being there, I also think the food is good. If it were not, I would definitely be hearing about it! Overall, I highly recommend River Oaks.
