Richland Woods

My Mother In Law moved to Richland Woods 6 months ago. She was adamant that she wasn't going to move! I don't think we could have handled the move without the care and support of the Richland Woods Staff. I can't say enough for the Administration Staff that walked us through and guided us on a difficult transition from home to assisted living. Their patience, kindness, and knowledge are remarkable. They were there with us every step of the way. They helped my MIL get acquainted with her new lifestyle with caring smiles, gentle listening, and support. I have so much respect for the Health Care Team, the Nurses, Med Techs, and Aides. They always have a smile on their face. They are so kind and patient with every resident. I appreciate that when I have a question about my MIL I can reach out to them and they are ready to listen and help. They work tirelessly and still take the time to listen with understanding, no matter how busy they are. They really care about my MIL. She is not just a resident to them, she is someone they care about and they have her best interest at heart. Shout out to all the staff that cleans the residents rooms, does their laundry, and keeps Richland Woods a happy and comfortable place to be. We appreciate all you do! The Dining Hall Staff , wait staff and cooks are remarkable. They prepare delicious meals every day and serve them up with love, caring and patience. If my MIL doesn't like what is on the menu the staff is very helpful in helping my MIL choose food options that suit her. They also get to know the residents and get to know the residents likes and dislikes! So Caring! And the food is delicious! I can't forget the Activity Director! She is amazing! She brings joy to Richland Woods with her smile and happiness! She absolutely loves every single resident as if they were her own parents. She cares about the residents physical and mental health and plans activities accordingly. The activities are well thought out, fun, and interesting. There is something for everyone. Music, drumming, exercise, crafts, baking chocolate cakes or cookies, bingo, and field trips, and musical entertainment. Every season and holiday of the year is celebrated with beautiful decorations and activities. My MIL has made friends. She even plays rummy a few nights a week with some of her friends! My MIL is often found working on a puzzle in the activity room. She chats with everyone that walks by. Overall I believe my MIL is happier, more active, her mind is stimulated, she has good food and conversions , and she is safe should she need help at any hour of the day or night because of all the wonderful, caring people that work at Richland Woods.

Best place to have your parents, Can’t say enough about the care that they have provided for Dad and Mom over the 15 months they have been there. Dad unfortunately has passed and the care he received was second to none. All staff were very helpful in making his time there meaningful! Mom continues to reside there and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Great place for your loved one’s!!

I want to start by saying that the staff are truly amazing, we put our loved one there in June 2025 and have opted to do a choice package that would save her some money in the long-term care , never thought that her stay would be short lived, due to unforeseen circumstances and she suddenly passed away 4 months into her stay. What upsets us is that the money put down was a very large sum and the staff tried to negotiate with upper Mgmt. to get us a refund even going to the VP of the Company who said no flat out no consideration on his part, how can a company consciously, keep that kind of money and not feel bad about it( five figures) so the rent was paid for a room for her for 2 years and she passes now they are double dipping and collecting money again on that said room. Very disappointed with the financial aspect of it, the care which is not cheap to any person who needs. I think some rules should be broken there is always a rare case that is not expected. I bet I don't get a reply from the owner or VP that' s how the rich get richer and we keep busting the grind total rip off, I just hope they can live with their selves.... I would like to personally thank Maria from Richland Woods to take the time to research our situation and they came to a resolution which we thought was very generous. Again, thank you all for taking such great care of our loved one while she was there.

I just want to thank all the wonderful amazing people at Richland Woods. They take such great care of my Mom and have helped in here complete recovery. The social aspect along with the great food and activities all make my Moms stay just like a cruise on land. There is no better place to be! Thank you all and Gods richest Blessings on all who make my Moms stay so great!
