My Mom was at Regina for more than 5 years. The facility was very clean, food was good for her, she made friends and I loved that Mass was celebrated everyday! There is good security at the front desk, making sure who was coming and going. The people who took care of my mom were very compassionate. After visiting people in other facilities, this is your best bet & I highly recommend!

My wife and I went to visit my wife’s sister here. Upon first shift arrival we noticed a housekeeper named Sabrina was very unkind and snooty towards a few other residents here, calling one of them names when they sought help and said that’s your aides job and proceeded to call them names. How unprofessional is that, then another latina aide (did not catch her name) was not willing to help us out with aide in dressing and changing in the restroom, and we never saw her again. This facility is upkept and my wife’s sister likes it here, but they need to monitor how their employees treat their residents.

The care Regina provided my mother was incredible. She was the happiest I had seen her in the last twenty years of her life! The hands on care she was given from the administration and staff was incredible! Regina kept me in the loop of every change of status with her health. The activities she was involved in with other residents and staff made her feel very happy! Thank You to everyone at Regina!

My mother had to go to a nursing facility for a month and is set to leave soon. I tried to find her the best nearby and Regina looked promising because of their ratings. However, I was upset upon my arrival. Initially, the nurse was giving insulin without checking my mom's blood sugar. The nurse said they didn't have all the orders from the doctor/hospital, so this may not be their fault, but that is dangerous. My mom also had to be hooked up to an IV, which was on a timer that beeps when finished. Countless times, she has sat there attached to her IV for as long as 45 minutes. Residents have alert buttons, but those seem useless as no one comes when they are pressed. I have sat their for more than 20 minutes with her after it has been pressed. They have a menu that is selectively given out to residents, so they aren't allowing some, like my mother, to select her meals. Or, maybe they forget, but either way, she asks for menus but hasn't been receiving them while her roommate consistently does. She has said she is diabetic and does not eat fish but continues to receive meals that are not suitable for a diabetic and fish whenever it's served. They give her the wrong order and then have completely forgotten to get her the alternative meal. Some have also given her a difficult time when she asks for a snack, which was suggested by her doctor for her to have. My mom's roommate keeps her awake because she yells throughout the day and into the night asking for help (maybe bc the alert buttons are useless). When I was there last, I notified more than one staff member about the roommate yelling for help and it took 15 minutes or so before coming. I have also helped this resident so that she can have her needs met when I can. Meanwhile my mom is hooked up to her beeping IV. So, I'm trying to visit and cheer my mom up while the lady next to her is distressed and while listening to incessant beeping from her IV. To be fair: It never looks like anyone isn't working. Perhaps they are understaffed? Are they paying their staff (STNAs) enough? When I researched online, it doesn't seem like they do. Pros: There are a number of staff and nurses that were kind and helpful, so I wanted to mention that as well. Nurse Tim is wonderful and always sets a timer when he did my mom's IV so she didn't sit there too long while it beeped. He also seems to care about the residents. The Occupational Therapists are very friendly, caring, and hard working. The social worker, Shawn, also checked in on my mom and helped her get what she needed.
