If I could give Peregrine 10 stars I would. They are a team (lead by Melissa) of compassionate and caring individuals who are committed to the safety and well being of their residents. The place is full of life and love. They always have an activity happening. My father is thriving. He is happier here and better cared for than he was at home. The Executive Director and staff has helped us with this transition, and without a doubt has made such a difficult decision so much easier than I imagined. We are thankful for Peregrine OP!!

Of course the road to Peregrine Orchard Park has been a nightmare as Mom's dementia has progressed over the last 3 years. But every step to getting her here and settled has been smooth and full of delicate care by every staff person. The facility is the most beautiful care home i have ever seen. It smells wonderful and is clean and cozy. The food is shockingly good every day. There is a full calendar of activities every day suited to memory care family members. It's remarkable how they strive to make this a home environment rather than a medical facility. But most important is the intimate level of love and care from every person on staff. Each one is so special and eager to help. I could go on and on. I am so happy that our Mom will live out the rest of her years in such a beautiful place.

They know our mom—her habits, her humor, her preferences—and they honor her with personalized attention that makes her feel seen. The way they protect her dignity means everything to us. Even on her harder days, she is treated with patience and respect. The administration is seasoned and steady, handling any and all concerns quickly, thoughtfully and creating an inclusive environment offering much appreciated guidance and assistance from the very start of our journey. What touches us most is the compassion woven into everyday moments. You can’t fake that. Whether it’s a caregiver offering a gentle word and a helping hand, a medical technician noticing a small change in her mood or abilities, any and all staff members stopping to make her laugh or feel included, it’s clear that the team is genuinely committed to their residents. For us, the biggest gift has been peace of mind. Knowing our mom is safe, respected, and surrounded by people who care about her well‑being has made all the difference. We’re forever grateful for the community they’ve built and the heart they bring to their work every day.

Peregrine Senior Living at Orchard Park is the best memory care unit in the Western New York area. Executive Director Melissa Burton and her staff of amazing professionals truly care about their residents. Executive Director Burton selects the very best people to work here and she makes an effort to retain her talented staff. She always listens to the needs of the resident and their families. There is truly a special place in heaven for all the employees of this facility. Alzheimer’s and dementia are truly ravaging diseases, but the residents here get the best possible care. Every single resident is treated like normal human beings. The staff is also specially trained to deal with patients with memory care issues. They have empathy, and they are always positive and kind to the residents. The facility is always clean. My mom’s room is kept nice and clean, and her clothes are washed and put away nicely too. The food is also good here and the staff look for innovative ways to improve the food choices for the residents. At a family meeting, they asked for their family to provide the residents favorite meals so they could incorporate it in their menu. The staff also ensure that each and every resident gets their showers, dresses daily, and always looks neat and clean. They provide lots of activities to keep the residents busy. Family is also kept apprised of their loved ones, and the communication with the staff about my mom had been outstanding. My mom is safe and happy here. It may seem unusual to say that a Alzheimer’s patient with advanced dementia is happy here, but my mom is truly happy living here. No one should have any hesitation in placing their loved ones in this community. In the hotel industry, only exclusive hotels qualify for Forbes 5-star. If there was such a standard for memory care units, Peregrine Senior Living of Orchard Park would be a Forbes 5-star!
