Every time I go to Parkwood the staff are always super friendly, caring, and helpful! The residents are engaged in daily activities from exercise, music, bingo, even Elvis comes to visit!! Parkwood is so blessed to have Vickie as their activity director she goes beyond to make sure they are happy and laughing. During Easter they actually watched baby chicks being born. One resident said I sure hope she will do that again that was fun. Usually when I go residents will be sitting on the porch rocking, talking, or reading. It’s their home away from home where they are loved and cared for by an amazing staff. I totally recommend Parkwood.

Cannot recommend Parkwood Village and The Landing Assisted Living Facility more. The community is beautifully maintained, with lovely common areas and comfortable, spacious rooms. It truly feels like home. What sets Parkwood Village and The Landing apart, however, is the incredible staff. Everyone is so kind, compassionate, and genuinely cares about the residents. They go above and beyond to ensure everyone's needs are met and that they feel valued and respected. The activities offered are engaging and varied, keeping residents active and social. I especially want to commend Ms. Bass. Her dedication and professionalism are truly exceptional. She is always available to answer questions, address concerns, and provide support. She has a remarkable ability to connect with residents and their families, making everyone feel heard and understood. Ms. Bass is a true asset to Parkwood Village and The Landing. Choosing an assisted living facility is a big decision, and this facility is a great choice. It's a wonderful community with a caring and dedicated staff. Highly Recommend.

For Parkwood Village only: No, I absolutely do not recommend. While the kitchen and dining staff were so nice and accommodating, the important day-to-day care and end-of-life care fell shockingly short. Only one nursing assistant out of many was on the ball. Although the sales pitch was persuasive, one red flag should have been that the manager/director of the facility never came out of the office to meet our mother or us even though we visited a few times before moving our mother in and visited frequently during our mother's stay before she passed away at PV. Thank Goodness for the Hospice nurses and the Hospice doctor coming in to provide care and guidance during our mother's last days. I would recommend finding another care facility for your loved one.

Today I did a virtual tour with Leigh Ann. She had expert knowledge of the the entire tour. The unit we visited was spacious and the amenities were very welcoming. There were also several activities in which a person could become involved. When looking to move into an independent living community, this is certainly a great place to consider.
