Ormond in the Pines

The moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and safe. I knew immediately that this was the right place for me. The staff is great. They go out of their way to accommodate you and Jenny does an outstanding job as activity director. She really puts her whole heart in it. I’m very content here and I know this is where I belong

This is the Goldilocks of Independent Living for seniors - It's just right! Not too stuffy and not too laid back. While evidence of high operational standards abound - they run a tight ship - the staff and especially the executive management team are warm and kind. Not just "nice" (you know what I mean?) but truly kind. They also assign ambassadors to their new residents. In fact, more impressively, they encourage time with the ambassadors without the sales and executive team present, so that the potential new resident has the opportunity to get the inside scoop and ask whatever questions they have about how things "really" are there. That's the gold standard! Finding the right place for your parent is a herculean task, but that's just the beginning. The move, the adjustment for a dear senior is no small thing. Ormond In the Pines did everything they could to ensure a hassle-free move in and we are truly grateful. After my mom moved in, she was overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted and a little glum while we were sitting together in the lobby for a bit. Then one of the maintenance (?) guys there, turned on some upbeat music and started to dance and whoop it up and that is the first time I saw my mom really truly smile and laugh in about a month at least. I know she'll love it there and most importantly, SHE knows she'll love it there. She's looking forward to the next chapter of her amazing life. You can't put a price on that.

This review is from Suz H. I had a spur of the moment visit with Stephen and Tia and they took time out of their busy schedule to help with my concerns, they were very welcome. During the grand remodeling Charlie and Ed personally showed me what they were planning for the company, the new furniture and renovations, it was exactly what the residents had asked for. I was impressed with the music by Dennis Ray. Mr. Ed helped with a jammed door, he worked hard to get it working again. The head of maintenance Anthony is little but mighty and very helpful. Ellen, Tammy, Jinny, Mari and all of the department heads work as a team to keep the residents, visitors and guests happy. During the open house April 15 I was given a bottle of wine and Stephen and Tia were very caring and welcoming. Stephen was willing to give the shirt off of his back to help out. The front desk is very helpful and full of information, Sarah and Emily do a good job helping out, it's properly labeled chaos coordinator. The activities here make it an entertaining place to be. Our resident ambassadors Hazel and Jane are all kind and helpful types. The bus driver Tom coordinates with our activity director Jinny and they provide excellent service in helping the residents and allowing us to go places. In the dining room all of the servers are very pleasant, and the food is good and there are many choices. The dining room is kept very clean. The housekeepers all do a wonderful job keeping the area clean and tidy. The atmosphere outside is very pleasant and comforting. I want the outside community to know how much I appreciate Ormond In the Pines compared to all the other senior living facilities in the Daytona area, Flagler and Palm Coast. In our quest for a new place to live we came across a pleasant surprise at Ormand in the Pines. We were greeted with open arms by the executive director and immediately invited to dinner. In a very short time we met some of the most down to earth warm quests of the restaurant. After many introductions and short stories dinner was served. The coconut shrimp was outstanding The ambience and cleanliness of the dining room was fantastic. After a terrific meal it was time to say goodbye to a special place filled with very special people.
